Pastries and baked items are phenomenal, but what I’m here to share is the local, organic tea blends they offer. I recently purchased the Mountain Air (can’t remember exactly what it’s called) and it is fantastic. The flavor is one thing, but the immediate heal benefits I’m seeing are incredible. I steep it overnight like it says on the bag and I drink it in the morning and at night before bed. I have noticed such an energy+mood boost in the morning, and at night I sleep easier and longer than I have in months. HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU STOP BY FOR THIS TEA and get a couple incredible pastries too. Thank you so much Abby.

Beautiful baked goods! The carrot muffin was divine (and vegan)! The smell when you walk in the door is mouthwatering. Hope to try more soon.

I love Maple and Rye Bakery! I discovered them at the Frederick Farmer’s Market on Sunday, but they really came through for my wedding. For getting ready for my bridesmaids, I wanted some easy, but delicious breakfast, including my sister who is gluten free. It was super easy to order and coordinate a pick-up day of!
I highly recommend them for any baked goods!

What a gem! Everything (and I mean everything) is delicious. The menu changes weekly but there’s always the stand by favorites available (cinnamon rolls, brownies, chocolate chunk cookie, plain and chocolate croissants). But I think they shine with their seasonal combos. I especially love the savory croissants and scones. There’s one croissant-ish thing they make with an egg and pesto and it’s just divine!

Our bikes broke down on the C&O trail and we had to head toward Bridgeway Bikes next door. This bakery was worth the flat tire!! Everything is made with whole wheats, which I appreciated. The cinnamon rolls were flakey, croissants buttery. We got excellent cornmeal cookies and muffins for the road. Everything about the place from decor, flavors, to service is clearly an act of love and tasteful restraint. We cant wait to come back.

Nice bakery that turns locally sourced whole grain into delicious pastries.
I do recommend going earlier in the day where there is still an assortment of yummy pastries.

Stopped by for a treat while biking the C&O path. I chose an apple pie cream cheese pastry that was amazing! Hint of savory and the tart cream cheese kept it from being overly sweet. Seriously one of the best pastries I’ve had in years

Unbelievable little bakery. We stopped by town while riding the C&O trail and wanted to get a little breakfast. Got a savory cheese scone and a peach scone that were each out of this world good. They also had cans of non-alcoholic amaro soda that I love, so the a couple of those in our bags for later for a refreshing treat.

Maple and Rye is the perfect little bakery whether you are an in town regular or popping by on your bike from the canal. Incredible sweet and savory whole grain treats and the canned nitro coffee is the perfect pairing.
