So glad we found this restaurant. It’s located beside the Food City, but has the feel of old charm. There’s seating outside under the umbrellas on nice days and lots of cozy tables inside.
I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with extra veggies and the gouda cheese and bacon on the side, and it comes with fries. You can swap the fries for other sides too. It was made perfectly. My husband ordered the special, which was pork tenderloin, mashed cheesy potatoes and sautéed green beans. His meal was seasoned very well and the tenderloin was delicious. He let me snag a bite and it really was very good.
Carson waited on us. I was impressed with Carson who kept the ice tea coming and and made sure we were well taken care of.
I truly wished we had this caliber of restaurant in our hometown. We will be back even though the Maple Creek Bistro is an hour away.

If you find yourself in Kingston, this is a great choice for dinner. Attractive patio with a fire to take the chill off a fall evening, plenty of tables and booths inside. The servers are friendly and had dressed up for Halloween. There is a range of beers on tap and a broad menu to suit all tastes. We had a table of 4 and the two who had the southern meatloaf said it was delicious. The third had the cast iron kesseri cheese, which she loved too. Which left only me to be disappointed with the Maple Creek burger with roasted brussel sprouts as the side. The bun quickly fell apart and the burger itself was meh. I can say with total confidence that a burger with brussel sprouts is much better at your local Taco Mac. But just avoid the burger, you’ll love this restaurant.

We are here on 12/23/25 for the first time. We drove from Knoxville for a good evening. We arrived around 4:00 when they opened. We were seated quickly and our waiter Ansley came to take our drinks. It took some time to get our drinks and even longer for our appetizer. Folks seated around us for their appetizers much quicker than us for some reason. The pita/pimento cheese appetizer finally came and it was very tasty. We ordered our main course food and it arrived not too long after the appetizer. Food was good but Ansley seemed not have a lot of attention to our table. My wife ordered a drink at the end of the meal and it never came. We got the bill with the drink on the check. We inquired and Ansley said she forgot it. We enjoyed the meal and atmosphere. But the service was lack luster. Atmosphere and food alone doesn’t make the bistro top notch without good customer service. I was going to rate it 3 out of 5 stars but the food and atmosphere yielded a 4. It could have been a 5. Need to work on customer service.

Maple Creek Bistro exceeded our expectations! I had read numerous reviews before our first visit, but I thought no “local” restaurant would have great ambiance, really good food AND very good service! Well, they proved me wrong on each count. We sat at the bar with Colt, the bartender. Even though the bar was packed early, he always checked in with us and did a great job. You can tell that Colt, and all the servers we chatted with, are great ambassadors of Maple Creek Bistro. We shared the grilled bologna appetizer. For our entrees, I had the flash fried shrimp and my wife had half order Caesar Salad and half order Chicken Tenders. Everything was prepared well and was very satisfying. The atmosphere was very relaxing, in spite of the “hustle” of the staff and the kitchen. If you haven’t tried Maple Creek Bistro, you are missing out.

The food was amazing, and the drinks too! The Buffalo tenders were well coated. The BEST Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had. The two chicken breast with lemon was outstanding! Can’t wait to go back!

This was such a great dining experience. Beautiful and comfortable atmosphere. Great layout with dining within a bar environment with tv for the sports enthusiasts. A second dining area for those wanting more of a conversation and even outside seating. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Our waitress was excellent, knowledgeable on items on the menu, and so friendly. We will definitely revisit this establishment. This would be a great date night, dinner with friends and game night. Highly recommend this restaurant! Besure to check their hours since they only serve dinner 4 to 10.

I visited Maple Creek Bistro August 24th 2024, for the first time. I stumbled across it after my visit to Halo Salt Cave and Spa.
I’ve dined in a lot of upscale, chique and fine dining atmospheres in the South in my 54 years, and Maple Creek is in the top three. I’m not sure what I enjoyed more, the cuisine, or their atmosphere. Both were not only exceptional, but also unique. This is an environment that promotes calm and Zen while at the same time is very stimulating to the senses. The food was absolutely top notch scrumptious and my server, I wish I could remember his name, was above the board amazing. So much creativity and thought was put into this place, the owners have got to be artists.
I absolutely cannot wait until my next visit!
