We started at the bar for drinks, but the bartender was standoffish and it took a while to get her attention. Once seated, there was another delay before our waitress came over, and we had to ask someone to send her to our table. When she did arrive, she was very friendly and personable.
For appetizers, we had the lobster dumplings, which were just okay, and the French dip that our waitress suggested, which was amazing. The oysters on the half shell were excellent, and the Maple & Ash wedge salad was outstanding. Our waitress suggested splitting the salad and serving the bacon on the side since I do not eat pork, but the salad arrived neither divided nor with the bacon on the side. The Golden Kaluga caviar was absolutely delicious, and my Mediterranean branzino was a 10 out of 10. Dessert was the flambé, which was incredible, though next time I would ask for less rum.
Overall, the food was outstanding and lived up to the hype. While our server was sweet and had a great personality, the lack of attentiveness made the experience less enjoyable. With better service, this would have been an exceptional dining experience.
We arrived early for our reservation and were invited to start the evening at their speakeasy-style lounge, The Studio. The atmosphere there was intimate, stylish, and exactly what you’d expect from a great night in Miami—an ideal place to ease into the evening with cocktails before dinner.
Once seated in the main dining room, the experience only got better. The service was excellent—attentive, polished, and well-paced despite how busy the restaurant was that night. It was clearly a celebratory, high-energy evening, yet we never felt rushed.
Every dish was outstanding. We started with the lobster dumplings, followed by the roasted bone marrow, pull-apart bread service, and Wagyu beef carpaccio, all of which were beautifully executed. The ribeye, paired with both béarnaise and au poivre sauces, was rich, deeply flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sides complemented the meal seamlessly.
What stood out most was how well the courses flowed—each dish bridged into the next effortlessly, creating a cohesive and memorable dining experience. Everything was truly melt-in-your-mouth, from start to finish.
Maple & Ash delivers on food, atmosphere, and service. It’s a high-quality steakhouse and an excellent choice for anyone visiting Miami or looking for an elevated dining experience. Highly recommended.
The service was amazing. Our server, Nelson, was friendly, attentive, and we had zero issues – quite the opposite. Everything felt effortless, and we truly enjoyed the experience.
I’m very picky when it comes to food, but for me the food was a solid 10/10. The octopus was completely different from any I’ve tried before, the three-color fish was excellent, the hand-cut frites with rosemary, parmesan, and garlic aioli were perfect, and the pasta – Ricotta Agnolotti & Winter Truffle – was absolutely amazing.
We still had room for dessert and ordered the chocolate cake. There were only two of us, and when it arrived, I was honestly impressed by the size and somehow, we still finished it
The atmosphere is excellent and the kitchen is operating at a very high level. Overall, the food quality is outstanding and the evening could have easily been a five-star experience.
The carpaccio was exceptional — perfectly balanced, delicate, and memorable. Huge respect to the chefs for such a refined and thoughtful dish.
The beef tartare was decent, though not the strongest I’ve had. Personally, I would have preferred crispier bruschetta to better complement the texture.
The crab/lobster dumplings were creative and enjoyable, especially with the added sauce that shifted the flavor profile while eating.
The tomahawk steak was cooked exactly as requested, beautifully presented, and done right.
Unfortunately, the reason this restaurant did not receive all five stars comes down to our waiter.
From a visual and performative standpoint, he clearly knows how to create a show. His tattoos added character, and the way he approached the table — stirring a cocktail, slightly spilling it, and inviting everyone to start — looked stylish and entertaining.
However, beyond the performance, the professionalism simply wasn’t there. Basic requests were handled poorly, and guest comfort felt secondary to personal ego. This was especially surprising considering our dinner for three exceeded $500 without alcohol, as we intentionally chose not to drink that evening. At this level, service should be attentive, respectful, and focused on the guest — regardless of alcohol consumption.
Because of this, the waiter unintentionally became the “star” of the evening — but not in a positive way. His approach ultimately prevented what could have been a flawless five-star experience.
That said, the management team was excellent — attentive, respectful, and genuinely professional. They clearly understand hospitality and represent the restaurant very well.
Overall:

Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Kitchen ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Service (waiter) ⭐
P.S. Special thanks to the hostesses — they personally walked me to the restroom instead of just pointing the way. With the complex layout and many mirrors, this level of care really stood out.
The food? Unreal. Perfectly executed, indulgent, and worth every bite. Maple & Ash already sets the bar high, but Jonathan takes it to another level. If you’re dining here, ask for him—you’ll thank me later. Can’t wait to come back✨
Yes, the food is on the pricier side, but you’re absolutely paying for quality. Highlights for me: the lychee martini, my filet mignon cooked to absolute perfection, and the beef carpaccio topped with both caviar and crab leg bites — so decadent and so worth it. The mushroom and mashed potato sides were my personal favorites, rich and flavorful.
For dessert, we went with the chocolate soufflé (which was good, though not the star of the night) and an espresso martini that was the perfect nightcap.
Can’t wait to go back — it’s definitely a spot for a special night out.
The standout dishes? The Grouper and the Branzino—absolutely a must-have. Cooked to perfection, they’re bursting with flavor and elegantly presented.
If you’re with another, do yourself a favor and get the “à La” experience.
A special shout-out to Chef Chad, who personally came out and greeted us. Being my first time at Maple & Ash Miami, that personal touch made the evening even more memorable. It’s definitely a must-visit spot in Miami & I will definitely be attending again !
Maple & Ash knows what they are doing. Well appointed atmosphere, top notch professional service and some of the finest cocktails & victuals in town.
When you walk in you are greeted & treated like a special guest. We had a delicious cocktail at the bar before taking a seat in our lux booth. Once settled in we grabbed a bottle of bubbles to sip while we perused a wine list thicker than an old school phone book.
With a few caviar bumps we were ready to tackle course after course of decadent dishes and deliciously filthy wines.
This place is great for ordering several dishes and sharing amongst your table.
A very special thank you to the management for making our family visit special. They took very good care of us, and even gave us a menu with a custom message as a keepsake.
