Fantastic food, majority of it is made in house! The sauces are all made in house, the crab-soup is absolutely awesome! Quiet place, great staff and great atmosphere.

Fine dining at a reasonable price. We just returned home from an amazing Mother’s Day brunch at Mannino’s. I don’t usually take time to write reviews but this experience was spectacular! As someone who has 10 years of experience in the service industry, I can honestly say the service was amazing. The she crab soup was probably the best we’ve had (this coming from a Baltimore native)! The staff also accommodated our party of eight including small children (ages 1 and 3), making this experience even better. Please support this terrific locally owned business and enjoy a wonderful meal.

Very happy with our meal! We went to Mannino’s for lunch, our server was friendly and attentive. Lunch portions were perfect size and price was reasonable. Food was very good! Salad and bread prior to the meal were also very good! Would recommend to anyone!

Had one of the best Italian dinners I have ever had. Danielle, our server, was attentive and overall our service was excellent. My son loves calamari and is very picky and said Mannion’s was some of the best he has ever had. The manicotti was very flavorful with an great texture! My only suggestion was for improvement would be to drop the 70s music in favor of something more appropriate for the beautiful building. Unfortunately I am just passing thorough town so it isn’t likely we will be back for some time….but I can assure you the next time I am in town I will seek out this gem! Thanks for the great food!

The food here was outstanding. The crab soup is a must. We had a large table of 8, no wait, excellent service and everyone loved their entrées. They do allow corkage, but the wine list was good with a very reasonable mark-up.

Absolutely amazing. Immediately upon entering you are greeted by warm and welcoming host/waitress. The place is very clean, the staff was super friendly, attentive and very helpful with the amazing menu they have. the food portions were very generous, in fact you every order in our part was more for 2 people in my opinion which left plenty of leftovers. You must try the soup it is amazing. Overall a very pleasant experience and really good anglo-italian food! Highly recommend this place!

Loved the she crab soup. I can see why it has won so many awards. Service was a bit slow, but they were busy. It’s too bad the owner of the building won’t renew their lease. Hope they can find another location in Portsmouth soon.

My wife and I went to Mannino’s in Portsmouth for the first time this week, and really enjoyed it. The service was very pleasant and professional, our dinners were delicious, and the she crab soup was truly outstanding! We will definitely be back.

Had lunch here once and it was great. Came back for dinner and it was a huge let down. My wife ordered the seafood special, and I had chicken picatta. Both were completely worthless. My chicken was boiled. Somehow even the capers had lost their punch. Her shrimp were flavorless. Sauce resembled watered down milk. Disgraceful. We could tell no one cared, so we just paid our huge bill, tipped our waitress and left.

Here for lunch, needing gluten free. Food ok but nothing special, not worth the effort compared to the many great options in the area. Crab soup not the caliber advertised, though also decent; again others in the area much better. Lackluster attempt at having a gluten free friendly menu.
