Manning’s was pretty good. It’s really just your basic sports bar, but in a prime downtown location. They had a nice selection of beers, to include some of the newer IPAs, as well as the traditional lighter beers. The food was alright; nothing earth-shattering but nothing bad either. The bartender and other workers were all really nice, and it looked like they had a movie-theater type of section that looks like a sweet place to watch a game.
Overall, I’d recommend Manning’s as a solid sports bar to stop in if you happen to be in downtown New Orleans for any reason.

Seated with no utensils or napkins. Ordered beer and it took 20 mins. Order appetizers, another 20 mins, appetizers arrived with no plates or napkins. Order food, arrived 40 mins later still without utensils.. some resorted to making chopsticks out of Burger skewers. Told they were out of club sandwiches after waiting 40 mins. Some of us didn’t even get our burgers that they weren’t out of. This place is a shell of the name. Garbage!
Manager acknowledged that service was not acceptable and corrected our bill. Appreciated the ownership.

I stayed at Caesar’s Casino New Orleans/Canal Street 12-15 February 2026. I visited Mannings Restaurant and had a great experience, the server( Ashlyn) was very accommodating. We were even greeted by the gracious manager with smiles and down home charm. I definitely recommend if you’re in New Orleans and need an inexpensive place for lunch or dinner check out Mannings!

Great place to catch a game. Fun crowd. Our waitress, Chanel was FABULOUS. She was very attentive and professional. We were a party of 6, very busy football play off night, and she was training a new employee. We will definitely be back as Chanel took such good care of us. Kim S

The food was just ok but the service, totally on point. We ate at the bar and Cheryl was super sweet and really took care of us. As we were leaving, Vons Henry offered us some beignets. OMG! First time having them and they were so delicious! Next time we come back, we are definitely coming here for the service and the beignets!

I spent the day here watching football. The service was amazing. Our server was Ash and he was constantly making sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. He had a great attitude and I could tell he loved football as much as I do. The food was great that we ordered. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars and I can’t wait to go back.

If it weren’t for the atmosphere and sportsbook vibe, this place would be out of business. The staff is painfully slow with everything from taking one to a table to refilling drinks.
For lunch, I ordered a cup of gumbo and received a bowl. No biggie, but I didn’t eat it all because I was sharing nachos with my friend. The gumbo was well seasoned and I would recommend.
Friend’s nachos were so soupy with cheese that they were only edible with a fork, which defeated the nacho experience. See photos.
The TVs are great with sports playing all around the building. It has been a couple of years since my last visit here (which was exceptional), so it is sad to see Mannings has gone downhill. You will enjoy the sports but order something other than nachos and be prepared to ask twice for drink refills.

Place wasn’t super busy when we came for dinner/drinks. Beers are cold. Drinks aren’t free pour strong, sadly. The wedge salad and gumbo was good. Served piping hot! Lots of tv screens to watch whatever current sports event is going on. Service wasn’t the best, but it seemed he was the only one working the upper area, so maybe they were short staffed?

Wings were excellent! Atmosphere, food, and drinks were exactly what we were looking for to catch the game. In town for a work conference so not familiar with the area, wish we knew about it a day ago to catch the Sunday games on the big screen. Service was great too! Highly recommend!
