Rich, flavorful Ethiopian food in an unassuming atmosphere. They also serve Central American food, but we ordered from the Ethiopian menu. Best misir wat I’ve ever had! And we thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp tibs and doro wat. The kik alicha and atakilt were tasty as well. I’ll be back to try more from both menus!

This is the first place where I was introduced to Ethiopian food and the reason I must have Ethiopian food on a regular basis now. DELICIOUS food, stellar customer service, and the interior is very nice. Always look forward to coming back and trying more of the dishes!

Great spot for Ethiopian food in Centreville instead of going way into the city come here. Also Central American dishes available if that’s your vibe. All the veggies and meat curry dishes are good is hard to pick a favorite but I’d say the lamb is our family top pick. Great to get take out.

This is a no frills place; all about the food. The Ethiopian food is great. They also serve Guatemalan dishes which look good. It can be loud, and is not fancy, and you may prefer the take-out version. This could only happen in America.

So a while ago I would have said that I would give 4 stars to this restaurant. I and my spouse would eat here all the time especially when I was pregnant. We would order 2 vegetarian platters for 2 and the portions were good. We have since moved out the area and came back because we had appointments near by. We ordered two vegetarian platters for two for ourselves and our twins and paid for the equivalent of 4 meals but only received 2 meals and they were definitely not portions for 4 adults. They were the size of the individual portion of vegetarian platters when you order it. The service is never as good when the sister is in charge and the owner is not present. I often leave and don’t order when the owner isn’t there. She tried to convince is that the amounts in the containers were for 4 people. The only thing that was enough for four Pepe was the injera. We are not sure we will return. It’s sad because the food is amazing.

This restaurant is a regular eating spot for me. The staff is very kind and attentive and the food is very delicious like you are right at home.

There are many vegetarian and vegan options as well as meat stews and curries.

The injera can be made gluten free on request; the default injera is made with wheat flour

They also sell very good roasted and raw Ethiopian coffee beans and spices.

Phenomenal Ethiopian food and bakery! I had the Sinig as a starter and the Vegetarian Combination Platter (naturally vegan) for my main meal. Both were great! The espresso is also very, very good. Ethiopian coffee beans, injera, lentils, etc. all for sale in bulk!

I’m a vegetarian. And it was my first time at an Ethiopian place. The staff were friendly.
And I had ordered a vegetarian platter to go.

I was not so sure about trying the injera. So, I replaced it with some Tortilla. The quantity of the food given was good. It was hot. There was a 10 minute wait time.

2 of the dishes were a bit bland. So I added some salt. One of it was spicy and I liked it. The spinach dish was really good.

I also bought a slice of chocolate cake. It was creamy but not very sweet. Looked like a cool place for a bunch of people to hang around and chill over beers

I’ve had authentic beef tibs and this is not it. Tastes like a white women tried to cook Ethiopian food. Tastes like basic stewed beef w rice. Went home and added extra seasoning and spice so I could enjoy it
