Dining at Manna is not just a meal, it is an experience. Every detail is thoughtfully curated. Having lived in New York and California and experienced fine dining in much larger markets, I can confidently say Manna consistently performs at a level comparable to top-tier city restaurants, all while being rooted right here in Wilmington.
The service is impeccable. The flavor profiles are creative and refined without ever feeling forced. The presentation of each dish is a true art form. And the cocktails are, without question, the best in town.
I often tell people to order the oysters with pickled onion sorbet. They are one of the most memorable dishes on the menu, and calling them life changing does not feel like an exaggeration.
After more than 20 years of dining across this area, I can say we have some great options, but Manna simply does everything better.
The food itself was impressive. I ordered the steak and fries, and it came out cooked perfectly with a rich, glossy sauce that paired really well with the crispy, seasoned fries. You can tell they take the time to get the details right. The kale dish had a great mix of textures with the sesame and the pickled onions, and the sauce along the plate added a ton of flavor without being heavy.
Dessert was one of the highlights. The chocolate pot de crème and the warm fruit crumble both tasted like something from a higher-end spot without feeling pretentious. Rich, balanced, and a great way to end the meal.
The cocktails and appetizers are where Manna really shines. Everything we tried felt carefully put together and genuinely worth the price. Some entrées are a little expensive for what they are, but the apps, the drinks, and the overall experience make it more than worth the visit.
The combination of great service, thoughtful food, and a relaxing atmosphere makes this place an easy recommendation. If you’re going for the first time, definitely start with a couple appetizers and a cocktail—you won’t miss.
The food is exceptional — thoughtfully prepared, beautifully balanced, and clearly crafted with high-quality ingredients. Every bite feels purposeful, comforting, and elevated without ever feeling overdone. It’s the kind of place where you slow down, savor, and truly enjoy the moment.
What makes Manna stand out even more is the atmosphere and hospitality. The space feels inviting and grounded, and the service is attentive in a way that feels genuine, never rushed. You’re made to feel welcome, remembered, and appreciated.
Manna is my favorite place to gather, celebrate, reflect, and reconnect. Whether it’s a special occasion or a simple night out, it always delivers something memorable. A true gem and a place I’ll return to again and again.
From arrival to departure we had an excellent evening. While the food certainly takes top billing, we also immensely enjoyed our interactions with all the staff, including Quinn and Andy.
We had the B A Barracas appetizer, the duck, and the risotto. The flavors were layered. The taste was fresh, yet comforting.
We look forward to returning.
The food itself was out of this world – fresh, creative, and expertly prepared. Every bite was a delightful surprise, showcasing the kind of quality and innovation you don’t often find. It was honestly the best meal I’ve ever had.
The atmosphere was just as exceptional. It felt cozy and inviting, so much so that we ended up staying for four hours, savoring every moment. I took my mom out for a girls’ night, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We had the most wonderful time, and we’re already looking forward to returning to see what’s new on the menu.
Thank you to everyone at the restaurant for making our night so memorable. We can’t wait to come back!
We shared two dishes at the bar. The first, “Run Forage, Run,” was a Jamie Oliver–esque wild mushroom bruschetta with incredible textures of crunch and creaminess that honestly made me want to cry. It was so good—I want to go back and eat it right now. We also had the warm kale salad, which struck exactly the right balance of zesty spice and cozy warmth. It suited me down to the ground.
Can’t wait to go back!
