Manila Sunset – Cerritos

  4.0 – 196 reviews  $ • Filipino restaurant

Manila Sunset specializes in a few but unique and hard-to-find Filipino foods such as Bibingkang Galapong and Puto Bumbong which are traditionally found in church plazas and roadside stalls only during the Christmas Season. Our best seller, Pancit Malabon is prepared from an original well-guarded recipe from the fishing village of Malabon from which the name of the delicacy came from. We also offer other Filipino favorites such as Filipino BBQs, lumpia, Lechon Kawali, Crispy Pata, etc and also Merienda items like Arroz caldo and Tokwat Baboy. Call or visit our branches for pricing and availability.

Branch of a regional chain of casual counter-service restaurants offering classic Filipino fare.

Space is too small, but food is really good. I had the grilled squid and I like. The squid is not tough and it taste good. I like the bibingka as well. Taste of home. Wish the place is bigger. It feels congested as they get a lot of customer. Halo-halo for me is pretty.basic though.

Food was decent about the same as grill city but less choices depending on the time and the mood of the cook. Atmosphere is like a filino carenderia you get to fight flies so they touch your food. The pancit malabon or palabok was good just not much sauce, if your looking for putok batok you can go here the dinuguan was mostly fat the pork bbq was mostly fat so you could enjoy it.

I was so excited to buy lots of food from here since the one in Mira Mesa San Diego is gone. I named most of the food to the cashier that i was craving for…..we are out of lumpia prito……out of fresh lumpi……out of lumpia shanghai…..bibinka galapong 45 min wait……overheard other people trying to order dinaguan…we are out. Well, what else is there that is not out.

Love their bibingka, crispy tokwa, pancit malabon, inihaw, etc. All food tastes great. Place is quite small, with no public restroom.

Accurate on calls for orders & pick up time. Palabok is their best food for me & my family loves it too! Crispy pata is ok & hopefully they can improve the taste of their diniguan! Dinuguan we only had a spoon full to taste & gotta have to re-cook & re-flavor! It wasn’t good.

I personally like the fresh lumpia, I should have ordered 2 of those. My wife ordered pancit palabok, I’m not crazy about it but I taste good, not bad.
