We stopped by while traveling from Houston to Texarkana. It a nice fine dine Italian restaurant with wide range of wine collection. The Italian dishes are well made and tasty. We also ordered crab cake which was good. The salmon dill tikka was tasty, however portion size was a little smaller when compared to menu price. They also have Indian food menu, but I will suggest do not serve Indian dishes until you have chef who can cook it properly. So these two missing stars are for the Indian food we ordered. Palak paneer served was nowhere similar to how the palak paneer made and how it tastes. We also got complimentary salad, bread sticks and butter, which was very tasty.

I dined alone, which I normally hate to do. The staff made me feel comfortable. The building is unusual. You either have to take the stairs or elevator to the bottom level to dine, but beautiful nonetheless. The food was really good. The only complaint I have was on the salad. Now this isn’t a huge deal for me, but the salad needed more vegetables on it. It was just lettuce. The asparagus was the highlight of my meal. My filet was cooked perfectly, and my teramisu was delicious as well. The atmosphere was great. Someone played the saxophone lightly to lots of known tunes. I will be back, and next time I’ll bring my husband.

Surprisingly good restaurant in a very unusual building. The other diners were, largely, an older crowd, so this would be a great place for a peaceful dinner without the distraction of loud noise and partiers.
My wife and I both had salmon and it was excellent. She had a Lemon Drop that was also very well made (like her!).

Not a place I’ll be running back to. The food was “okay”, service was good, but none of it was “fine dining”. Decor and design is VERY dated and cluttered, bar selection is very limited. COVID can be blamed for some things, I’m sure, but frozen food should NEVER be included in anything being called fine dining. The salad was the only thing I had that had not been frozen. The experience was friendly but also disappointing since Lufkin could use some true fine dining.

Always impressed with the quality of the service, food and wine selection. So happy that Lufkin has a restaurant of this stature. The night we were there (on a Tuesday), it was packed!! Lufkin needs to support this establishment. So different from all the fast food restaurants that Lufkin seems to be best known for.
