Mangos Cafe is not only a restaurant and sushi bar but also a hookah lounge with a one-of-a-kind, beautiful outdoor patio that’s heated in the winter and opened in the summer. Mangos not only offers the best quality but, at the same time, the best prices in the area. The kitchen is open for dine-in or take-out and offers an array of selections from delicious, authentic Mediterranean-style cuisines, subs, sandwiches, burgers, quesadillas, desserts, freshly squeezed juice, smoothies, and of course, our customer favorite Mangos SUSHI.

This place is an absolute gem. Worth the drive from Windsor. Never had one bad experience! Food is amazing, atmosphere is great! I’ve never had better service, honestly Ali goes above and beyond. Will go as far as remembering your favorites off the menu. Super friendly and outgoing!

Food and service came quickly. Came to $30 a person for lunch and mango smoothie. Was a quiet place. I feel like $30/person can go further at other restaurants.

Our visit to Mangos Cafe on the Hill was unfortunately underwhelming. While the presentation of the dishes was appealing, the flavors did not meet our expectations.
The mixed grill platter looked vibrant, with an assortment of grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and rice. However, the meats lacked seasoning and felt overcooked, leaving them dry and not very flavorful. The grilled vegetables, though visually appealing, did not have the smoky depth or seasoning expected from such a dish.
The beef liver plate, accompanied by French fries and pickles, was similarly disappointing. The liver, which should have been tender and rich, was tough and overly oily, and the accompanying garlic sauce did little to enhance the dish. While the fries were crisp, they felt like a generic addition rather than a thoughtful pairing.
The overall dining atmosphere was pleasant, with cozy seating and a clean environment. However, the food fell short of expectations, leaving us disappointed with the experience. Mangos Cafe has potential, but it would benefit from improving the flavor and texture of its dishes to better complement its inviting ambiance.

I was extremely disappointed with my order today. When I opened my salad, I found a dead fly inside (see attached photo). This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen.
I expect much higher standards when ordering food, especially from a place I trusted. I hope management takes this seriously and improves their food handling and hygiene practices immediately.

Absolutely loved this place!! I was so sad they weren’t serving sushi when I went, but the food I got was amazing. They would constantly check in to make sure we were doing okay and all set. Very friendly and the hookah flavor was on point. It was raining when I went and they walked us out with an umbrella to our cars

This place is amazing! My friends and I always have such a good time! Everyone treats you like family here, the level of hospitality and generosity from this place is truly amazing. It seriously makes you want to come back and continue supporting them. Not to mention the food and hookah is the best in town!! The last time we were here I think our servers name was fayez, he was the best!!!! Took the best care of my table and I, had a huge smile on his face the entire time, treated us like family, and was so unbelievably down to earth. We asked him long he has been there for and I think he said 5 or so years which is truly amazing! You can tell he really cares about his work and this place. All I can say is I’m very very happy with my experience here. I would love to see Fayez (I think) in some kind of Management position over there, with the way he truly cares, he deserves it!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This was hands-down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in years. The food tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week—bland, soggy, and somehow both greasy and dry at the same time. I’ve had microwave dinners with more personality.
The service was a disaster. The staff looked annoyed that customers existed at all, and every request—from getting water to correcting a clearly wrong order—felt like asking for a miracle. By the time the food arrived, I had aged at least two emotional years.
The atmosphere didn’t help either: dirty tables, sticky menus, and a smell I still can’t identify and frankly don’t want to.
This place needs a complete reset—new management, new kitchen, new attitude, maybe even a priest. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

$30+ on a single entree for a shish combo and a “row” is 4 pieces. Absolutely ridiculous and greed ridden pricing for any business, I will NOT be coming back here. The price isn’t the problem, my problem is that the price point is absurd for 4 pieces of tawook and kebab, how obscene and greedy is Dearborn pricing going to become before business owners lose all their clientele. What a joke. Mangos has been added to a long list of restaurants I’ve lost hope in. Back to hamidos it is, much better and at least you get what you pay for.
