I sat at the bar, where Stefano recommended the Spaghetti Costiera paired with a crisp white wine. No exaggeration, it was the best pasta dish I’ve ever had in my life. I usually avoid ordering pasta when dining out because it can feel heavy, but this was light, fresh, and perfectly portioned. I finished every bite and still felt amazing and satisfied, not stuffed. You can easily taste the high quality ingredients.
Stefano truly made the experience exceptional. He’s personable, knowledgeable, and has a genuine passion for food and hospitality that makes your dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. We ended up talking about their olive oil, which actually deserves its own fan club. It’s so flavorful and rich. Even their bread was perfect, warm, golden, crispy on the outside soft on the inside, the ideal companion to that olive oil. Yumm!
To top it all off, I ordered their cheesecake, which was nothing short of heavenly. It’s surprisingly light and airy, not overly sweet, not dense, just perfect.
I will say the entire experience was truly flawless, from the elegant music to the kind and welcoming staff, and an atmosphere that feels warm and effortlessly classy. This is officially my new spot. I can’t wait to come back again and again!
Owner / Chef Mauro’s passion is presented in every dish!
His hospitality is exceptional as he gave us a tour of his cozy comfortable restaurant, he made us forget we were in a restaurant and made us feel more like we were in his home!
I wish I had taken more pictures of his dishes but we were so engulfed by this experience that we couldn’t wait to dig in!
The starters were promising: the red pepper soup with pesto was flavorful, and the salad was fresh. The four-cheese gnocchi was rich and satisfying, and the calamari was well-cooked. Unfortunately, things went downhill once the main courses arrived.
The seafood pasta was disappointing — completely bland, lacking salt or seasoning, and the pasta itself was overcooked. The carbonara tasted like an odd cross between cacio e pepe and carbonara, missing the creamy balance of either dish. The pork chop was decent but over-seasoned, while the steak was nicely cooked but nothing special.
Dessert didn’t redeem the meal either. The lava cake was mediocre at best — more forgettable than indulgent.
Dinner for two came to about $90, which is reasonable for the portions, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a special occasion. It’s a serviceable spot for a casual dinner, not a celebration.
That came with the split pasta dish, of which, both were very different taste and regions of Italy, yet still very satisfying.
The Zucchini Flowers were extremely delicious. We knew we like them but when these came out, the taste was better than what we expected.
If you get a chance to diner here, do it! We’ll definitely be back for more.
