We decided to celebrate our daughter’s return home from college and chose the Mangia Italian Kitchen. We were in the mood for some good Italian food. I made reservations there through Google, but when we arrived, we weren’t asked about our reservation. That was ok though. The restaurant was packed and after about a ten-minute wait, we were seated. My wife and I had a glass of house Cabernet and we all munched on fresh sourdough bread while we read the menu. Oil and balsamic vinegar accompanied the sourdough bread and made for excellent dipping.
For appetizers, we ordered the Garlic Cheese Bread and also the Meatballs and Marinara. There were three large-sized meatballs drenched in Marinara and covered with freshly grated mozzarella. Both the Garlic Cheese Bread and Meatballs and Marinara were fantastic!
For our entrées, I ordered the Baked Ragu, which consisted of penne pasta, meat sauce, Italian sausage and mozzarella, all baked together. My wife had the Fettucine Alfredo which was tossed with broccoli and roasted bell peppers and she added Italian sausage. Our daughter chose the Beef Ravioli from the specials that night. Needless to say, we were all stuffed. The food was hot and fresh and just excellent.
The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall, near Ace Hardware, and isn’t very noticeable from the road. However, we had heard great things about Mangia Italian Kitchen and we are so glad we went. And inside, the restaurant is small but cozy. Would highly recommend if you’re in the mood for good Italian fare. All of the staff were friendly and attentive.

Dropped in about 6pm on Saturday as we were passing thru Holister on the way home from Pinnacles. A few people there but empty tables too. This restaurant has a varied menu and reasonable prices. Lighting and atmosphere works well. The waiter was polite and attentive, with quick and efficient service. Serving size is large and foolishly I ate it all because it tasted great!

I have been searching for a Carbonara as good a The Fish Market in Los Gatos many years ago. This one was pretty good. My husband had the Spaghetti and meatballs, He said it was good but not as good as mine. Sweet answer. 🙂

Had dinner here with friends recently and really enjoyed it. The pasta was not overcooked, the sauce was delicious, and the service was friendly and engaging. I was very happy with the experience. And really, considering the quality, the prices were very reasonable. Whether for a special occasion or just a nice dinner any time, I recommend this place wholeheartedly based on my recent visit.

So happy to find such a classy small Italian restaurant. Five stars on my pasta. It was the best I’ve every had. There was 4 in my party and everyone’s food was amazing. The atmosphere was exactly what you would want with a plate of pasta. The server was warm, friendly and very attentive.

First time here at this Family owned Italian Restaurant. Met one of the owners (Yvonne) in the parking lot who had Raul (husband) stay open so we could try a pasta dish. Marco, our server took very good care of us with great suggestions and very kind service.
Very nicely decorated restaurant and clean. The pesto is made in house and is delicious. I jumped on my meal cause it looked so good before taking this picture. My plate was full and hot.
