We just tried the Monday through Thursday 2 for $40 special at Mangia Brick Oven Pizza & Pasta, and honestly it felt like an absolute steal.

From the moment we walked in, Massimo greeted us with fantastic energy and made us feel welcome right away. It created a warm and friendly atmosphere from the very start. Our waitress Erica was exceptionally pleasant and attentive throughout the entire meal. They kept checking on us to see if we needed anything, offering more bread and making sure everything was perfect.

The service was absolutely phenomenal and truly top tier.

The meal started with hot, steaming fresh bread served with seasoned olive oil for dipping, which was a great start. We then had a calamari appetizer that was perfectly cooked, followed by a Caesar salad. For our entrees we ordered the chicken francese and chicken marsala, both of which were outstanding. Everything tasted like it came out of a much higher-end restaurant.

For dessert we finished with the limoncello cake, which was the perfect ending.

The most surprising part is that this place is in a strip mall, yet the food was ridiculously good, especially at that price point. This place had no business being that good for $40.

I honestly cannot believe I never knew about this place before. We will definitely be back again and again and again.

The pizza had a lot of flavor with homemade sauce, but was very undercooked. The white pie is delicious, and also very undercooked. I could not detect any evidence of brick oven cooking. I would order thin and well-done next time. Fried calamari was okay. We prefer have the tentacles included butt this was only rings. I ordered the sauce spicy but it was super sweet so I added hot red pepper flakes myself. The waitress was young and inexperienced but she was very sweet. It’s worth a second try.

Great Atmosphere! Great Logo on the wall! I had the Square Grandmas Pizza, it’s was good a little under cooked and the flavor was missing something. I couldn’t put my finger on it!

If you’re in the Tom’s River area and haven’t tried Mangia Pizza, you’re seriously missing out. The food is consistently excellent every single time — and that’s rare these days.

The pizza is outstanding across the board. Whether you’re ordering a classic cheese pie, specialty slices, or something loaded with toppings, it’s always perfectly cooked, flavorful, and fresh. You can tell they care about quality.

Their heroes — both hot and cold — are just as impressive. Generous portions, fresh bread, high-quality ingredients, and made exactly right every time.

And let’s talk about the garlic knots… absolutely off the hook. Soft, buttery, loaded with garlic and flavor — easily some of the best around.

What really sets Mangia apart is the attention to detail. The packaging is always neat and secure, everything arrives hot, organized, and looking great. Delivery is flawless, and the staff is consistently pleasant and professional — always showing up with a smile.

It’s clear this place takes pride in what they do. Reliable, delicious, and top-notch service every time. Mangia Pizza is a staple in Tom’s River for a reason. Highly recommend!

I come to this location often, and the customer service is usually amazing. This visit was very different. I was respectfully greeted by a young man wearing a Mangia sweater and hat (the other male staff were not in Mangia clothing), and in my opinion, he was the only staff member with manners.

The young lady with curly brown hair and glasses who took my order was having a loud conversation with other staff while ringing me up, asking if someone was “ghetto” and how people felt about them. It was inappropriate to have that discussion on the front line where customers could clearly hear it. I told her I was dining in, but because she was distracted talking, she told the kitchen my order was to-go, and my food was served in a to-go box.

I later learned the man she was speaking with was named Anthony (that’s what other staff called him), and he repeatedly used foul language. The staff continued cursing and discussing who is “ghetto” and who is not. Within five minutes of dining in, I decided to leave because the young lady and Anthony were openly making racist comments to other staff about why their kids were “not allowed to date Black men.”

The food is great and the atmosphere usually is too, but I absolutely will not return after this experience. Please do better. This establishment will fall apart with behavior like that behind the counter. I am truly disappointed.

I am only giving three stars for service because of the young man who greeted me. Everybody else deserves to get fired.

Consistent. Greeted with hospitality. My wife found this spot on Instagram and it delivered exactly what she told me. Not heavy, yet full of flavors and easy on the stomach. Very good chocolate cake. We drive 45 minutes to get here because Atlantic County pizza is garbage whereas Ocean County, specifically Mangia, throws love into each recipe. Excellent eats!

Come here a lot due to my 2nd job being a few doors down. The people that work there are friendly and nice. Pizza is always fresh and great. Buffalo chicken and white slice highly recommended!
