Lucky find for us this place is the real deal. Delicious fresh Turkish food, appetizers were fantastic. Baba ghanoush was delicious. Tried a few new things. Did the mixed platter of chicken, lamb and beef. The did not get everything pictured, but the bread was outstanding. A Family owned operation that takes pride and the quality of their menu items and the service! We ordered way more than we could eat after seeing Just to have some to take home! Try this place!

We went here for an early Monday dinner. We weren’t expecting much because even when we we near Detroit to a Turkish restaurant it was still just so so. But this place does not disappoint! You can tell this food is made with heart and care. We had the baked hummus (with cheese and Turkish pepperoni), falafel, and mixed grill plate and hubby had both the Turkish tea and coffee. Literally nothing disappointed and our standards are fairly high. Even our 8yo devoured it all and told the owner/waitress that she is really good at this lol!
If you want authentic flavors and family recipes with the most tender meat, this needs to be on your list! They’ve only been open 8m and I foresee this becoming quite the hit spot to go once it’s really discovered. They even have an adorable outdoor seating area, but it was 49° outside so we sat inside lol.

Great spot in an otherwise hectic & commercial area. The patio is an inviting oasis along busy 49th St.
I had the salmon platter with rice & salad. Other fish options include sea bass and grouper.
The salmon was perfectly cooked: crisp on the outside and barely cooked on the inside (per closeup). It was flakey and infused with wood-fired notes. If you prefer a more cooked center, be sure to ask.
I was brought an eggplant appetizer on the house, along with homemade bread hot from the oven. Both were delicious.
I found the salmon best with just lemon. I mixed most of the red sauce (both spicy & flavorful) into the rice, and sopped up the rest with the bread. The salad was simple, but good. It included a crunchy piece of romaine. I squeezed some lemon on it and added some tzatziki, sopping up the rest with the bread (of course).

Well let me tell you all about a new hidden gem in Clearwater just north of Pinellas Park on 49th St. I’ve lived here over 25 years and love when I stumble across a new jewel. My wife and I are more about food than flair and the food here is both fantastic and plentiful. Started with a Cay tea and a Baked Hummus with Turkish sausage appetizer. The home baked bread was to die for…we could have made a meal on just this! We then shared a Mixed Grill Platter with six different meats all served over rice. It came with a salad and a couple different sauces. The flavors were wonderful and although we are big eaters,we still left with a takeout box. We then finished off dinner with two Turkish coffees and a taste of homemade baklava. Wow, what a meal! They have been here only six months and are starting to be know… but please let’s jump out to support them. Family run restaurants are often the best for flavor. Prices were very reasonable. Give them a try.

This place was SO good!! I would 100% go back and try more items on the menu! The service was great, the grilled meats were delicious, and the portions were huge! Really delicious and authentic turkish food, and they have a great outdoor patio to sit at. Highly recommend!

Excellent, excellent and excellent. This is the 2nd time we went to the place within a month. The first time was the time we “discovered” the place. What a gem. We are so glad that we found the place.
The food:
Both times, we ordered the mix grill plater with various grilled meats, pilaf and a small salad. Every single meat, is so well grilled, has a nice char coal smell and absolutely delicious.
If you don’t know what to order, give this platter a try. It is enough for two. Actually, we are a party of 3.
If you are bread and naan kind of person, please, please give the lavas bread a try. It is freshly baked with a big air puff. It looks like dome. It tastes heavenly.
Today, we also ordered the baked hummus. We love hummus. But this is the first time we had a baked one. It covered with cheese and beef salami. It comes with the lavas bread (one order , two unique experience. It is a full meal itself). Yummy!
The service:
I feel so bad. both times, I did not get the hostess’ name. She is so nice and kind. She knows the dishes very well. If you don’t know what to order. Ask her. I bet she will have the best suggestions for you.
The ambient:
Last time, we were there, it was a bit of cold. We sat inside. It was clean, spacious, bright and tastefully decorated. BUT even then, we were looking outside the window and wished we could sit outside. The outdoor of this place is just gorgeous. Although it decorated with the mixture artificial flowers and real plants. It is so peaceful and lovely.
The price:
For quality of the food, the quantity of the food and the ambient. It is VERY, VERY reasonable. One does not need a special reason to come to this place. Just a great place to enjoy a fantastic meal and without draining your pocket.
Thank you for providing such a wonderful dinning choice in St Pete/Clearwater area. We definitely will see you soon.
I wish I had taken some pictures of the food we ordered. Both time, we jumped on it so fast, the presentation was ruined before I could take pictures.

Mangal Turkish Grill at 11681 49th St N in Clearwater gets a big thumbs-up! This husband-and-wife-run spot, with the main chef from Turkey’s kebab-famous Adana region, serves up authentic, mouthwatering dishes. The Adana Kebap is a must-try—spicy, smoky, and grilled to perfection. Their vibrant salads and appetizers, like creamy haydari or fresh shepherd’s salad, are perfect starters. Pair your meal with complimentary Turkish tea and, if you can, grab a porch seat for a refreshing sunset vibe—rare for the area. The food and warm hospitality make this halal gem a Clearwater standout. Highly recommend!
(Open daily for lunch and dinner; reservations suggested for outdoor seating.)
