Overall good experience with the customer service.
The dishes we ordered were also pretty good although different than what we were used to.
We really enjoyed the lentil soup served complementary in the beginning. It was a great welcome on a cold night!
One has to have a taste for Yemeni food otherwise you may not enjoy it as much.

Although the lamb was sold out by the time we arrived, we ordered chicken with rice and soup—and honestly, it was some of the best food we’ve ever had. The portions were huge, the prices very reasonable, and the flavors absolutely amazing. Four of us shared just two orders and still couldn’t finish everything! Dont get me wrong, their food is good but its not the best Yemini food I have had. If you are looking for authentic Yemini food in Chicago, I’d give Al Diar a try.
The place could be better, when we were there, they had a water leak on the floor and the seats/table were dirty. They do give you a plastic wrap for the tables so dont worry too much about the sticky tables.
