I like stopping at Manana’s after riding up in the Laguna mountains. Restaurant is usually very clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is usually really good. The service is fairly quick and if they are not too busy they bring the food out to your table. I had the chicken fajita salad today which is usually really good but the chicken was dry and a little overcooked. That being said I will still come back as the food is usually really good, large portions, and reasonably priced.

This restaurant used to be a favorite of mine (been going there 20+ years), but too many changes have made it not so great. Burrito, Chimichanga, taco salad – anything with the beef and veggie mixture is mostly vegetables, with very little meat, and watery (making the tortillas soggy and mushy). The hot sauce and salsas are also flavorless. And the beans – oh my gosh, they are liquid! I miss the old Manana’s and rarely go there anymore.

We stop off here for breakfast prior to riding our mountain bikes in the Great SoCal Outback. My go-to dish is the shrimp burrito which is filled with plump shrimps, and some cabbage along with a tasty white sauce. No unnecessary filler-rice here. My husband loves the chicken taco. The food is tasty and delivered to the table with a smile.

I came to the restaurant to buy two bean and rice burritos. All the burritos were filled with some kind of beans that we’re not good they didn’t have any flavor. It was hardly any rice in the burritos in soon as I eat at my stomach, swollen so bad and I called him back and ask for my money back but they said I can’t get my money back unless I bring a burrito back so bad for business very bad for business.

Growing up in Alpine this was always my favorite place to eat. Today I had a $10 Carne asda burrito that was mediocre at best such a disappointment. I also had stale chips, the best part of my lunch was the flavorless salsa.

The food was very authentic Mexican dishes. The side bar is excellent and the price was just right. You definitely get every penny’s worth here! And they serve American beer as well! Mucho gracias, Mananas!

Very disappointed. Burritos had 90% vegetables and the rest meat. They dont have rice and beans like others. Tortilla was loosely wrapped and luke warm. No cheese. Nothing. Seems like veggies and a little meat. The tacos had a very cold thick tortilla and little meat. The only thing I did enjoy was the birria quesadillas. They were good and the Jamaica was good. Other than that…it’s a hard pass for me. Breakfast burritos only had meat and cheese? Back on the east coast they have eggs.. ham.. chorizo…rice..beans, etc

Had some not so good food service my kid had to start crying for them to realize they forgot to put in my order. Food was still good but when you call in an order to go and get there in the time frame they gave you and have to wait an extra 25 mins.
