Awesome food. I keep coming back for the steak and eggs. This is a very interesting place, you feel very welcome when you walk in. Nothing feels as “local” as this place, right at home. It doesn’t have the extravagant store front that some places do so you might miss it, but their focus is on the food. Excellent place, my favorite steak and eggs breakfast. Try the ‘spicy homefries’ they are great.
The prices are also excellent, brought a crew of 6 there for breakfast and it was less than 60 bucks and we all ate well, even had to bring food home.

Great spot for breakfast or lunch. The grilled cheese with tomato and bacon and a bowl of chicken rice soup was excellent! Highly recommend when in the area great service as well !

The phenomenal waitress (regretfully I never got her name) approached our table carrying my MASSIVE Cowboy Jim omelette and said something like, “I hope you’re hungry!” GOOD GRACIOUS! Stuffed with ham, peppers, onions, tomatoes, Swiss and American cheese, this three-egg masterpiece was just delightful. The side order of pork roll was great, as were the home fries (with onions, of course). Coffee? Fantastic. Service? Great, especially considering this ONE PERSON was COOKING AND SERVING ALL BY HERSELF. There were 17 people in the place at the time and no one was kept waiting very long. My only regret? Not being able to sit at the counter with a clear view of the grill (locals had every seat). Keep in mind that this place looks pretty scary from the street. It’s an effective strategy, I’d say, because that keeps the crowds down. Besides, folks that know and love this place likely want to keep it all to themselves…sorry, I should delete this review! Pro Tip: park around back or on the side, right in front is kinda dicey unless you back in…

We went here for breakfast. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it’s a nice place, clean, and the breakfast was good. The prices are definitely better than a diner and you get the home feel here. I was given an option on how I want my bacon and I ordered well-done. I may not get it that well next time.

My fiancé and I stumbled across this place when we were looking for some lunch one day and we haven’t stopped going since. We rave about it all the time that our families come with us now too!

It’s truly a hidden gem. Food is great & freshly made, daily specials are always delicious, and the best part is it’s priced so well! Make sure to bring cash, it’s cash only no atm. Service is always fantastic too, which is a breath of fresh air. If you love homemade food and cute hole in the wall places – make sure to check it out. We leave full & happy everytime we go.

Recommend everything, but top faves for us: Burgers, fried chicken sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich, steak tip platter, chicken or reg cheesesteak, breakfast potatoes, soups.

Solid breakfast spot. In a world of fancy, over priced, “luxury” food joints; the Manalapan luncheonette is a gem. The food is fresh and tasty, and the environment is a blast from the past. I usually go for breakfast, but have had some solid lunches here. Definitely worth the try.

This place is a hidden gem in Manalapan. It’s one of those places that is not aestically pleasing on the outside so you might be weary about stopping in. Whenever I go for breakfast or lunch the place is full of locals that know the staff by name. The food is always excellent and very reasonably priced. I decided to write a review today because when I went for breakfast this morning the house was packed. I sat at the counter and watched the cook do his thing. I was impressed with how much he had going on at one time. By no means is this place a fancy dining experience but if you want good reasonably priced food with a local clientele atmosphere then this is definately worth giving a shot.
