This place is rad! 7 large tables, a lot of them are splittable for smaller parties. Ample distancing during COVID.
Decent food, basically bar food –I got the battered mushies & mozzarella sticks (not NJ style, but ok).
Lots of open games to play, & of course also to buy. Probably 1/2 the shelf space is Warhammer, then D&D, a corner of Magic, and a couple shelves of Misc goodness.
Look fwd to returning.

I’ll be direct, I was quite surprised to find this gem of a games cafe in Elko. One of the first stops in our cross country gaming journey, and I was thrilled to find such welcoming gamers. Wonderful selection of in house games, easily the best coffee I found in town, and a clean community oriented space to play with friends and family. Thanks.

Best Coffee in town. I’m from the PNW and nothing brings me back home like a 12oz mocha from XP. I’m not a gamer and all I care about is great coffee. I’ve been to all coffee shops in Elko/SC, and this place makes the best most consistent cup of premier coffee. EXPECT TO TAKE YOUR TIME AND DO NOT RUSH THEM, locally owned and a beautiful small comfy spot.

Great selection for coffee and non-coffee drinkers. It also has a lot of flavors to choose from, especially sugar-free syrups. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This place has an excellent atmosphere. It is a great place to sit and talk with friends or to play a game. I was really surprised at the quality of the food. It was much better than I expected. This place has the best grilled cheese. I have had 3 different soups from XP Gaming and they were all flavorful.

I’ve visited twice now, once for coffee right after they opened for the morning, and today for lunch and to hang out. Today’s potato soup was amazing, and the grilled cheese was phenomenal. The soup was exactly what I wanted when I read “loaded potato soup” on the Facebook page, and I wasn’t worried about waiting for it. The wait times may be a little higher, but rest assured you’re getting a fresh meal from someone who cares. The owner was delighted that I loved her food and I could tell she really wanted me to have a good experience, and I did! I can’t wait to go back and play games sometime

I wanted to check this cafe out for awhile. Family invited us for dinner and games. I’m thinking this place is loaded with geeks. Wait! I am one. Not disappointed- food, atmosphere, and games were great. Where else can you get beat at Yahtzee while eating amazing grilled sandwiches? Love it. Try it.

Unbelievably disappointed. I’ve heard how awesome the food is, heard they have great service. Wrong. To the girl I delt with tonight… so sorry my husband and I ruined your evening, interrupting you and your “I’m in the middle of closing, I don’t know what you want from me”
She blamed our burnt sandwiches and gross old fried pickles on doordash. I was not aware doordash was responsible for the food quality… she was rude, uncompromising and professionally inappropriate. Not only will we never eat here again, but I will make sure I spread the word…. because as the girl I dealt with tonight …. no cares given. 60 dollar dinner, burnt, old, greasy, gross. But it’s Door dashes fault according to her because she’s busy trying to close and has alot going on, sorry about your 60$ dinner.
Have an awesome night.

Unfortunately not worth it anymore. Used to be our favorite place but the food quality and amount has gone down so much and the prices keep going up. Almost $20 for a burger that was cut in half and one half didn’t have any meat just slices of bread and it was conveniently placed under the half with the burger. What’s usually toasted bread has been soggy and tearing apart from grease (has happend the last 3 visits) It’ll cost about $25 a person. The amount of fries you normally get has been cut down over half. I understand prices of everything going up but with the quality going down so drastically its no longer worth to support

This was such an amazing find! We got blended coffees (highly recommend the butterbeer latte!), sandwhiches (there’s seasoning in the bread that just took it to a whole new level), fries, and tortellini ceasar salad (a MUST). I have nothing bad to say for the food; we loved it.
The owners are super friendly and have excellent customer service. They helped make recomendations for the food and chatted as we waited. It’s clear this place is a labor of love. Come out and support local!
If we’re ever back in Elko, we are definitely coming back.

The atmosphere here is incredible, I’ve not seen any gaming shop or cafe like this before. We talked with the owner about the history and future of the shop, it’s amazing how much he cares and all the love that’s gone into every corner. Selection of games to purchase is broad if a little sparse, but there’s sure to be a little something for everyone. There’s also games available to play anytime, and a cozy menu of drinks and snacks for fuel. I can definitely see this being “the place” to be when I’m in town visiting family. Highly recommended even after just a short visit.
