This place is legit. If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s time. I had Mama’s Sweet and Spicy matchup. Delicious messiness. Very spicy jalapenos and the pimento cheese is delicious!
I also got a side of collards. They were pretty good. Needed some vinegar which I never asked for.
My kids got the chicken and dumplings and I was jealous. They had an amazing flavor. I’ll probably get those next time.
I didn’t get to try my husband’s Cuban but he told me he thought it was one of the best. It looked amazing for sure.
I had a cup of regular coffee. I wanted a flavor but the girl made it sound like I had to get a latte or mocha drink to get flavor and I didnt want all the calories so I just tried regular. It has a good taste. Id like to try maybe a cappuccino next time.
The front house is all takeout. The back building is the eat-in area. It is handicap accessible but there is a pretty steep incline at one point so keep that in mind. Also has a nice outside eating area for summer!
I’ll definitely be back and I think it would be a great spot to stop on the way home, grab a whole chicken and take it home for dinner!

I was excited reading your menu and the reviews online. I was in no way let down. My new favorite restaurant AND coffee spot. I will funnel my money into your pockets as often as possible and send everyone I know. For god sakes , pork belly and waffle. This is a gem.. And you go and top yourselves with the espresso. No joke legit the very best espresso AND barbecue in the region in the same building.
Midland is actually developing some flavor over here folks. Dont discount the countryside.
I wish the very best to the family responsible for such a great lunch i didnt have to drive to charlotte to hunt down. Ill be back for dinner, count on it neighbors. Yall are gonna make me fat i can already see it .

Fantastic food! We tried several things, and everything was delicious. The sriracha-lime fries were absolutely amazing. The coffee was awesome too. Service was great (and fast!), but you are left feeling a little awkward when first walking in…no “seat yourself” or “order here” signs to let you know what you should be doing. Seating is very limited, and the drink blender is unfortunately loud enough to interrupt conversation. Food and service will definitely have us returning!

We tried it for the first time tonight and were very pleased with the experience. We dined in and they have a very nice atmosphere. The Barbecue sandwich was very good and the sandwich my wife got (On Top of Old Smokey) was excellent. I was very excited about the Ghost Pepper & Bacon Mac Cheese and it exceeded my hopes. I can’t wait to go back and try some other things on the menu.

Found this little gem while in Midland for a funeral. The food was simply delicious and the service outstanding. Dine in or take out ~ indoor and outdoor seating. The BBQ is not sauced ~ they have several sauces available for you to choose from – both eastern NC and western NC. The fried okra was perfect. I would 100% eat here again if I ever find myself in Midland.

Mama puts her twist on BBQ and brings some unique meals to the area as well. Papa has done his magic in the smoke pit and the meats are smoked to perfection.
Mama has also brought in some serious coffee equipment. She roast her own beans and creates the best gourmet coffee. Make this place your morning coffee stop on the way to work before word gets out and the line gets long.
So glad this place has opened up.

Midland needed a place like this! Everything I have ordered has been outstanding. Cornbread, hush puppies and Mac n Cheese are the wifes favorite. I am working my way through the menu and have yet to find something that was not outstanding. They have a small dining room in the back with parking there as well.

Words do not describe how good the food was here tonight. My wife stopped on the way home and got the bbq and rib plate and hands down was the best in 3 county’s. Blew every other bbq place away. And to top it off there custard was even more unbelievable Anyone who enjoys true home cooked food will love this place. Hats off to the cook.

Shouldn’t be called mamas place. When I think of “mamas” place, I think of a friendly, welcoming, family type atmosphere. You won’t get that at this mamas place. My family and I walked in, we were not greeted or guided on what to do. The employees (in pajamas) were sitting at the tables, mind you it looked like there were only 5 tables. It was very small. So we stood there and one girl finally said here are the menus and pointed at a stack of paper menus. Still we were never offered a table, we start to walk out the door and the employees slowly got up and went behind the huge counter area and just stared as we walked away. With that kind of customer service this place will probably last the same amount of time as the other restaurants that have attempted this location.
