The food was fresh and delicious. The sweet tea was amazing and the view was great. The server was polite and funny. Am excellent experience. The bread was fresh. The old bay wings were great and the pizza had a great crust. Will be my new go to when I’m in the area

The food, service, and atmosphere are amazing. I have never been disappointed, from pizza, to burgers, to salads, to the desserts, all fantastic. If you can, eat outside for a lovely view of Chesapeake Bay, and they have live music on the weekend, too!

It’s definitely a very good local restaurant: family friendly (my kids LOVE the place )personally everything I have ordered has been perfectly done . The calamari appetizer is 5 stars all the way I get it every single time! Eggplant Parma is a generous portion and Stuffed Shells are creamy saucy -just so good. Try the Linguine Posillipo- Holy cannoli!! I shot a pic -the seafood was perfectly cooked HUGE prawns, mussels, tender calimari and clams,sauce so full of flavor and the Linguine was great,this dish is definitely my favorite. We have had wonderful servers and even though it was super busy we got served pretty fast and no issues! Very good family style Italian food.

We were very impressed all around! The seafood pastas were delicious, and the desserts are unusual and mouth watering. There are several places to sit: a front area that is family friendly, a back bar area, and a deck outside. The restaurant is modern and clean and tastefully decorates. The prices are reasonable as well! Definitely coming back!

Ordered chicken parmigiana and mostaccioli arrabbiata for pick up, and picked up just 20 mins before close. They got the chicken parmigiana right and I have no idea what this is…i’m allergic to shellfish so I can’t eat this and now it is 10 pm closing time :/

The atmosphere is in conflict with itself.
On the one hand, it tries to be an upscale Italian restaurant on the other hand it is equipped with seating that is one step above Diner. The staff is very friendly and they are still getting their feet wet with the new opening. However, the food is mediocre at best. Either it came off of a Sysco truck or the recipes are poorly executed. I had chicken fettuccine alfredo. The Alfredo sauce was thin and tasted more of oil than it did cheese. The chicken was breast meat, however, it had hints of Sysco precooked to it in its flavor.
I think the restaurant wants to be something that it neither is, nor can be, in this community and that is an upscale Italian restaurant. However, the prices are definitely upscale. They have only been open for a few weeks so I offer this review in the hopes that they are still working the kinks out.
However, I will not be returning for an eat-in experience. I will be trying one of their pizzas as a take out, though. I will then leave a separate review for that. For two of us, with salads, appetizers, an entree and 4 beers, the bill was almost a $100.
I would have been more than happy to pay this had the food been better. It just wasn’t. Despite this, we left a $25 tip for our waitress.

Being a regular at a restaurant definitely has its perks but Mama Lucia By the Bay takes that to a whole new level!
The staff is super friendly to all of the customers and for me and my family, we go so often that they’ve nearly memorized our normal order. They’ll laugh and talk with you while you wait and are always ready to assist you if need be.
The food is wonderful. Exciting flavors and wonderful service combine to make this a hit. The pizza always is made fresh and tastes great with the perfect combination or sauce, cheese, crust and whichever toppings you decide.
For the pizza in North and Chesapeake beach, you have to come here.
