Delicious food, great service and it’s authentic cuisine. Large portions and a cute, minimalist atmosphere. The menu is comprehensive and the specials are unique and creative. It’s a really great spot to try for Italian food in Wilmington.

Mamma Lucia’s has been one of my favorite places to eat for the past ten years. Every dish I’ve had there has always been fresh and delicious. The owner always came out of the kitchen to check on us and was a delight. She brought an authentic Italian food and experience to Wilmington. Unfortunately, she is closing the restaurant to pursue other interests. Last night was the last time I will enjoy the cooking at Mamma Lucia’s.

This is by far the best Italian food I have ever had. Service is always wonderful, and the food is always delicious. Me and my husband come here every year for our anniversary. This is the first place we ate as a married couple, and we come here for any celebration we can! Personally I love the chicken parmigiana, and my husband always tries something new.

Dinner with the family. Got the fried calamari for an appetizer; crispy and delicious. For the main course, got the pollo limone, ravioli trio, and the spaghetti bolognese. The pollo limone and the ravioli were outstanding. The spaghetti bolognese taste was pretty bland, kind of disappointing. The service was excellent. Completes the meal with desserts, almond cake, tiramisu, and limoncello. All outstanding.

This was a let down on many levels. The restaurant was decorated with fake plants, Christmas lights and fake candles. The fake plants had a layer of dust and there was a disco bulb in one of the can lights. The service was adequate, but the food was a huge disappointment. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo and it came out looking like soup. It had absolutely no taste and I had to add a ton of salt and pepper. For the atmosphere and quality of food for the price, don’t bother.

A very “old school” looking establishment. But excellent service, delicious food and large portions. A wide source of selections on the menu and they prepared a vegan dish for me. If you love Italian food, I would recommend them most highly!

Ate here on Christmas eve while on vacation. Despite having only one server I can’t complain. But food was off the charts! It was delicious and massive portions, you better be hungry when you go. The decor was kinda odd but you can’t deny how great the food is prepared and how tasty the marinara sauce was. I wish this place was close to home, I’d be a regular. Great job Mamma Lucia’s.

The wait for our food was extremely long. We spoke to two other friends who reported that they experienced the same long wait when they went too.
Service staff were very nice but perhaps under trained (example never topped off coffee, forgot to return credit card…).
Facility aesthetics seemed tattered and low budget. It appears they are skimping on maintenance (example…bathroom door lock doesn’t work) equipment seemed piece mealed.
The prices were too high for the level of service and facility.

The food was ok, it’s on the heavy side and the service is pretty slow. The lasagna was was drowned in sauce and cheese. If you like Italian dishes with heavy sauce and cheese, definitely try this place
