Absolutely delicious food. So much flavor that each bite was a new great surprise. Even the beans inside the pupusas and baleadas were seasoned great. All the meat was perfectly cooked. The puerco verde was a test for me as places usually don’t cook it well, but this place has it falling apart. Definitely will be back next time we’re in town.

Definitely recommend this place. The pupusas are big. I had a beef fajita taco and a bean and cheese pupusa. Both were delicious. The fajita meat was marinated well and very tender. The service is great too. We will be back for sure. So nice to find a spot like this in San Marcos. Oops, no pictures because I ate it all.

Side note: adding the slaw and orange-ish tinted salsa to each bit of pupusa was

Pupusas are huge! I thought I needed 3 but ended up only eating 2. Tamale was good ! Honestly one of the best places to eat in San Marcos if you’re looking for authentic food.

Definitely give this place a try. Very well organized and very nice people. The pupusas weren’t quite as good as I was expecting. But they were very good and I enjoyed them 🙂

The pupusas are greasy, I ordered a beef fajita taco that was supposed to come with beans cheese and cream, $5.49, they only gave me the meat on the taco and that was it. Just don’t seem to like the food. Won’t be coming back because I’ve had a bad experience all 3 visits. The workers are nice tho.

Excellent and friendly service, clean and tasty food. Will recommend, be advised that small charge applies when paying using a credit card. Glad to see Salvadorian and Central American food here in Central TX.

The pupusas, the curtida, the pastelitos and the service, all amazing!!! The food is very authentic, made to order and speedy. Went with a Salvadorian friend and he said they were almost as good as what his mom makes. Definitely a must if you are in the area.

I know they are known for their pupusa’s but wanted empanadas that day. Got the carnitas en salsa Verde. I got it to go, but they definitely came to me fresh because they were still piping hot almost an hour later! Crispy on the outside and so good on the inside. The pickled salad and side salsa’s made this a complete meal. I’m coming back for sure! The competition for good food from south of the border is real in San Marcos and El Arco definitely has put their hat in. I have no doubt this place is home away from home for some, and definitely glad it’s in my current hometown!

The food was made fresh to order and the servers were very helpful. I had the vegetarian pupusas (squash and cheese, jalapeno and cheese, mushroom and cheese, and spinach and cheese), the picadillo empanadas, and a side of yucca. It was all fresh and flavorful. San Marcos definitely needed something different and this is it. Hope you try them and support this local business. I will definitely be back to try other menu items.
