I’ve been coming here (and taking friends) for almost 10 years. We came today while in town and it tasted just as good as ever. Wonderful rotisserie chicken, maduros, rice & flavorful chicha morada. They were the trendsetters for other local chains like Alpaca (which we also love) and 10/10 recommend.

They supposedly close at 9pm. You better get there before 8pm though because these people are lazy. Walked in at 8:23 on the spot and we were told they only have white meat chicken… makes sense they probably only cook a certain amount a day. We said that’s fine… and moved on to the sides where the lady behind the register listed of maybe 4 of the total amount of sides they have… we asked for fries and they said no we don’t have any… we then asked for fried plantains… we quickly caught on that they have them they just don’t want to cook them. So I asked and she said “because we are closing”, um excuse me it’s 35 minutes before the times it says you close on the door. Typical situation where they are lazy and want to all be able to leave right at 9pm. I hate places like this that value themselves on the customer service they provide when they really don’t. Glad they are moving, won’t be going to the new location.

First, the chicken is amazing! The cook it over charcoal in a rotisserie. It’s juicy and delicious! All of the sides are good as well. Pretty sure it’s the same family as alpacca if your a fan of that place. Oh the have daily specials as well, things like “chop chop” and nachos. They also have these great homemade sauces. I like to dip in both of them. Enjoy!

Delicious chicken, black beans and rice, plantains etc…. My family loves a Mami Nora’s night. We usually order takeout and eat at home. The restaurant itself is a little tired, that’s the only reason for 4/5 stars.

This place used to be good but they got rid of their green beans and the chicken was smaller and dry last time. Go to Alpaca if you want good Peruvian chicken and the amazing green beans that Mami’s used to have.
