I write reviews often, and my hope is the owners will read and make adjustments as they see fit. I wanted this restaurant to be good for many reasons, so I waited until I visited this establishment 3 different times. The first time was right after the grand opening and the green beans and, yams were not bad they were worth me coming back, the cabbage was not anything to write about and the jerk chicken was juicy but too much jerk seasoning. Overall that meal was still at 3.0, the second time I ordered jerk chicken, green beans and rice, the chicken was extremely dry, the green beans reminded me of the ones in the can with the potatoes, and the rice was blah, we also got sweet potatoes as a side and that was just ok, didn’t taste like the ones I had during the grand opening. I was extremely disappointed with this, it was a 1.0, the third visit we invited friends from out of town to try it out as well, the orders consisted of the jerk chicken cheese steak, fries, Mac and cheese, turkey wings, rice, chicken tenders and fries. The jerk chicken cheese steak was dry, even with sauce drizzled on top it was still dry, all of the fries were too hard, the chicken tenders were actually ok and big in size, the turkey wing fell off the bone and unfortunately that is the only thing I can say, it was not really good in flavor or taste the rice was blah again, the mac and cheese should be taken off the menu or prepared differently. This was not soulfood mac and cheese, it was not much cheese in it at all, it was bland and greasy, not sure why it was greasy when it was not much cheese in it Overall 1.5 of all the food that was purchased. Aside from that, service is just ok, the guy is typically pleasant when you walk in, we called to place an order and we told the guy we were checking to see if we could place an order by phone or if we had to walk in. He said we could walk in but they could get started on the order if we went ahead and placed it over the phone. I said well I am not sure about what I want but we will be there in a few minutes we are not far and we got there within 15mins max, and he told us they had some issues with the power so they were not able to serve any more food, but that was weird because the power for the establishment was working and they were still there. It was weird! Each time we have gone, there are so many things on the menu that is sold out and I get it, but also I don’t because one of those times it was around 1 or 2p and they open at 12 noon and it is never crowded so when did it sell out or is it that you do not have the foods available or you’re not prepared to sell the food you offer either way that is not ok. I do not know that I will be back. I take review writing serious and it is not like I get paid for it or receive anything free. I never got to try the deserts because they seem to be sold out every time. This is done to support the establishment and the patrons.
I wish the best for Mama’s House as they continue to grow. I do not have many photos, I was extremely annoyed…sorry I normally do a better job at posting photos.

We get tired of eating the same thing! So we were pleasantly surprised to stumble across this place. I was skeptical about the location being inside of a liquor store. But they have a full kitchen and customer service was good. We ordered the turkey wing platter with a side of mac and cheese and yams. We also ordered jerk cheese steak and jerk chicken platter. The string beans were delicious and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. We will be returning

We’ve dined here multiple times, and everything on the menu is outstanding! The fish, jerk chicken sub, fried chicken, and impossible burger are all delicious. The banana pudding is truly scrumptious. Don’t just walk—run and fill your belly! The prices are fantastic too!

First time here. It was good. #1-Jerk chicken/sweet potatoes/green beans. Jerk and sweet potatoes delicious. (Wanted sauce on Jerk).#2-Turkey wings/mac and cheese/green beans. Turkey wings were ok could’ve used some gravy, green beans could use little seasoning. #3-chicken wings delicious. I will be returning for the sold-out items.

Delicious! My fiancé and I ordered the jerk chicken, yams, and green beans. We both loved it. The person who assisted us was nice and apologetic for the little bit longer wait. The food was so good- it didn’t even matter.

The food was A-MAZINGLY GOOD!, I definitely will be returning. You have to try the jerk chicken cheese steak. The prices are very affordable, i was able to get two platters for $44. I would advise everyone in the area to go check it out.

The jerk chicken cheesesteak was PHENOMENAL! I even went back a second time to try the fish and it was amazing! You get 3 nice size pieces and the flavor was Highy recommend it!
