The staff was nice and the food came quickly. I definitely have had better food. The seasonings were off, and something was missing from the dish, but instead of making a final judgment off 1 meal, I will try another dish to see if it was a one-time thing.

If you’re looking to experience the vibrant and diverse flavors of Africa without leaving Baltimore County, look no further than Mamaput & Suya kitchen. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported to another world—one filled with warmth and mouthwatering cuisine.
The menu is a rich tapestry of flavors, offering authentic dishes from West Africa. I had the pleasure of trying the Jollof Rice, which was an absolute delight. The perfectly spiced tomatoes, tender chicken, and subtle smokiness in every bite left me craving more. The Suya, served sizzling hot, had a smoky aroma that was simply irresistible.

Mamaput is one of the BEST tasting West African food I have had in a long time. My favorite is the lamb suya and jollof rice. The egusi is so flavorful and delicious as well. The atmosphere is so clean and staff members are very welcoming and pleasant. Food is fresh and is prepared when you order and not just sitting in a warmer all day! One of my favorite places in Owings Mills to eat! A MUST try. I will have dinner from there today!

Awesome little restaurant serving Nigerian food. I don’t have a basis for comparison as this was my first time trying but everything we got was delicious. I’m excited to try a few more things on the menu next time!

I ordered the Lamb Suya- the meat was so fresh, cooked perfectly with the right spices. This was the best lamb Suya I have ever had! The Okra soup& swallow was amazing! It tasted like a real traditional African dinner! I’m so happy that I ordered from here now I know where to go!

This place is my go to for efo and poundo. Literally the best efo and poundo in all of MD. Whenever I go on long runs, I eat the efo and poundo as part of my recovery.
I love the poundo so much I held off on trying anything else. Until I tried the jollof. The jollof is 10/10. I drive all the way from PG county to get Mama Putts food because she had the true authentic taste I am looking for.
