While visiting New York, we finally decided to try Maman—and it did not disappoint.
The Christmas décor was beautifully curated, setting a warm and festive atmosphere, and the staff were genuinely welcoming.
We ordered the smashed avocado tartine, Fiona’s berries & cream Belgian waffles, and Martine’s steak sandwich with avocado. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, our food arrived impressively quickly.
Everything was delicious and thoughtfully presented, and the staff checked in just enough to ensure we were well taken care of without being intrusive.
We’ll definitely be visiting other Maman locations in the future.

maman has a beautiful, airy atmosphere with thoughtful design details — the floral installations and open layout make it a lovely place to sit and relax. The pastries were excellent, fresh and nicely balanced in sweetness. Coffee was okay — decent, but the real highlight here is the space and the baked goods.

MAMAN has a very elegant and charming atmosphere. The space is beautifully designed, and the tableware is lovely.
The food is thoughtfully prepared and presented, making it very appetizing.
The only downside is that it gets quite loud inside — it was hard to have a conversation without raising our voices. Aside from the noise level, everything else was a very pleasant experience.
It might be better suited for casual visits rather than quiet conversations.

Maman is one my favorite places to grab coffee & a sweet treat! The 18th Street location has so much seating. Came here on Valentine’s Day and tried the heart pastry— delicious! Highly recommend the lavender latte (hot OR ICED). Food Service is quick and efficient. Eddie was very pleasant to interact with!

I was so looking forward to trying this famous cafe, unfortunately didn’t find its coffee and pastries special. Its midtown off 5th Ave location is convenient for lots affluent tourists, but the sitting area can get very loud and stuffy during the day. Been here, tried it, average caffeine and sugar experience. Service is almost none

Stopped by for coffee and had a really nice experience. The barista Gregory was very friendly and welcoming, and my drink came out just right. Surrounded by all the stone buildings, this place feels like a little island of comfort — something warm and almost home-like. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.

It’s really cute inside. The honey lavender vanilla latte was good, just coffee wasn’t very strong??? And I didn’t taste the honey?? The corn cream foam and gluten free corn cake crumbs were niceeee. $9 latte

Aaron was so lovely in helping me with my table. He brought me water and even followed up to see if everything was satisfactory. What a nice way to start my morning. The matcha was perfect-not sweetened and tasted like matcha. I will be back.

Would give it a 6-star rating if I could! They sat our party of six quickly on a Sunday mid-morning brunch without a need for a reservation. There was ample space and service was fast. I wish I had gotten the name of our server because she was fantastic. The food was amazing – very large portions of note! The cocktails were all great, light, and not too sugary. The coffee drinks were tasty but very sweet so I would definitely recommend half sweetened. Staff are friendly but not overly in your face.

Going to Maman Café in New York City is like wrapping yourself in a comfy, familiar blanket. They have many locations. It is consistently good in every category and the employees are fantastic. I have sent many friends there who are visiting the city. Erik at the Flatiron location is wonderful and can make you any drink, hot or cold, to perfection…even a chilled espresso martini!
