Cocktails are strong but 10/10, and wouldn’t expect less from a Mexican restaurant. Also flavorful and they make them very pretty (instagram pic worthy). Food was okay, not the best Mexican food with lots of flavors, came for an early dinner!

At in when first opened to try out. Found it ok. So with storm coming we decided to get some takeout Sat night. Again it was ok. At most it’s a 4 star. Eating in, atmosphere is so-so, nothing special. Service was average. Take out was partially screwed up – ordered chicken empanadas as an app, got beef. Coming from a decade in S FL, these empanada tasted ok, but the dough is weird, nothing like any we used to get – and not in a good way. Anyway, there remainder of our order was fine. Tasted ok. The meat portions were a bit small compared to other places. I order extra chicken for mine and it pretty much brought the dish up to a normal serving. Anyway, all tasted fairly fresh and prepared reasonably well.

My hopes were high, but I’ve been let down on two occasions. I ordered takeout as I was looking for a local spot. Ordered elote corn plain wings fajita nachos and guacamole. A couple of items were wrong. I called and spoke to a young lady, they said they made a mistake- no apologies no offers to make it right.

Third visit last night. I think they were short staffed (food took a long time) and I didn’t see my favorite waiter. First visit was lunch. Not impressed with enchiladas. Very thin. Second visit 2 weeks ago. Excellent service and food. Had steak fajitas and, because I wanted to try it, a beef tamal. Tamal (tamale) filled me up and took fajitas to go. Red sauce on tamal was so good, as was the tamal. Great service. Was really looking forward to returning.
However, last night was a disappointment. Order steak fajitas again and 2 tamales. Firstly I was told that they no longer made beef tamales, only chicken. Ok, ordered anyway. Meals come. The steak with the fajitas , while food, was served in two slabs that were partially cut into wide strips. Ok, but then I had to try cutting them with a table knife to make a strip fit into the small tortillas. Messy and time consuming. My tamales were a no show. The waiter left to get our last party’s meal and I assumed it was to also bring my tamales and the tortillas for my fajitas. Nope. So I gestured and asked about them. My tortillas came a few minutes later, but no tamales. This was a different server, so I asked again. Tamales never came. So, near the end of the meal when the server came to start picking up plates, I asked again and requested they be put into a box to go. They said no problem. What can I say, I love tamales. When I got home, I looked in the box and I have no idea what I received, but it really doesn’t look like tamales. Plus it’s covered in a thick green paste. Avocados maybe? Which I do not like at all. So disappointing visit.
HOWEVER, I would be happy to go back one more time and order the same thing just because that 2nd visit was so good. ALSO, I want to say that the staff is just so pleasant and I could see they were trying to do their best. I think something was just off last night. I still recommend you try this place.
