First time here and we were so impressed! From the moment we sat down, everything was perfect. The warm baked pita bread was such a nice start to dinner, and the garden salad with housemade Italian dressing is hands-down a must-try — simple but absolutely delicious. The calamari in marinara was crispy and flavorful, and the baked clams were a personal favorite. For entrees, we got the Chicken Alla Vodka Hero and Penne Oreganate — both comforting, savory, and super filling. To finish, the frozen cappuccino was unreal (a total win for coffee lovers) and the Junior’s carrot cheesecake was incredible. This cozy Italian restaurant and pizzeria is easily one of East Meadow’s gems — can’t wait to come back!

I had dinner here with friends the other night. It was my 1st time at this location. The service was great. Our waitress gave us time to sit and talk a bit in between taking our order and receiving the food. They filled our water glasses and gave us a bread basket in the meanwhile.
I ordered the Mediterranean salad with shrimp which was enormous. It was delicious. Shrimp were cooked perfectly. I took half of it home. I will definitely come back in the future.

I went to Mama Teresa Restaurant tonight and had a very disappointing experience at the end of what should have been a pleasant meal.
When I received the check, I noticed a surcharge for card payment. I informed the waiter that I would be paying with debit, not credit, and that there should not be a surcharge since debit is essentially treated like cash. Despite this, the surcharge remained.
I asked to speak with the manager, Frank, to resolve the issue. His response was extremely unprofessional. He said he “had no time for this,” claimed the machine is “set up that way,” and told me I should go get cash if I didn’t want to pay the fee. He was arrogant, nasty, and raised his voice instead of trying to explain or help.
From my understanding, restaurants generally cannot legally charge a surcharge for debit card transactions, even if they label it a “convenience fee.” While businesses may offer a cash discount if clearly posted and applied properly, passing card-processing costs directly to debit customers is typically not allowed. Regardless of the legality, the way this was handled was unacceptable.
Customer service matters, especially when there is a billing dispute. Being spoken to disrespectfully and told to leave to get cash is not how customers should be treated.
I have no intention of returning and wanted to make others aware of this policy and the way management handles concerns at Mama Teresa.

I’ve been there several times, and it’s always the same experience: extremely uncomfortable. The pizza guys are incredibly rude; they look at me like a policeman looking at a criminal. Maybe I’m being overly sensitive once or twice, but it’s always like this. Especially today, the old pizza guy practically didn’t say a word to me the entire time; he only communicated with me through his eyes and chin. A terrible shopping experience. I won’t be going there again.

Big problem with manager Frank with honoring gift card. Very deceptive and tried to scam us.
Had to go back up twice. He finally made good on it but had a very poor attitude like he was doing me a favor. My advice is to never purchase a gift card from them. Buyer Beware!,

Mama T’s stands above the rest and you know how the saying goes…”Now try the best”. I’ll tell you why, see below.
That’s right, we just had another visit, so another positive review, so look back and see the other one too.
Mama T’s is our favorite, we tried other places and always end up back here! The service is good the servers try hard to make your dinner a special occasion, the atmosphere is casual/ relaxed (dining room behind a pizza place) but don’t let that fool you… the meals are top shelf right up to par with the best.
Only Mama Theresa’s has 10 dishes each better than the next, you can go back anytime and enjoy any one of these the same way each and every time!
Where else can you go and consistently have so many great food choices that are prepared perfectly and so delicious?
1) Chicken Parmesan,

We’re frequent customers of Mama Theresa’s in East Meadow because the food is always excellent and the menu offers a wide variety of choices, including gluten-free options. Last night, we placed a fairly large takeout order, and when we got home, we noticed one item was missing. I called right away, and the staff was very apologetic. Within 15–20 minutes, they delivered the missing item right to our door. We truly appreciate their excellent customer service and the way they promptly corrected the mistake.

i don’t know what happened to the quality of their food the past few years, but i ordered a regular slice and a dozen garlic knots, the garlic knots had no flavor, were burnt and had no garlic on them… which is weird considering their garlic knots. anyways the pizza crust was way too thin and there was no sauce on the pizza .. at all it took me a couple bites to realize that because i’ve never had a pizza with no sauce. this is definitely my last time coming here

I ordered two large garden salad with grilled chicken for delivery. The salad was delivered without grilled chicken. When I called to alert the restaurant thinking they would deliver the missing grilled chicken. I was basically told too bad. I frequently order from Mamma Theresas. As a matter fact, it’s one of my favorite restaurants. I’m very disappointed in the customer service and being dismissed so easily without any care or compensation.
