It’s called Cassata cake. Strawberries, Custard, and yellow cake topped with whipped cream. It was at every special occasion.

Came here after hearing some great reviews and I have no idea why. We got a pizza and it was a 4/10 at best. Nothing was fresh…premade dough, sauce, and toppings from a can. Thin flavorless pizza that took 45 minutes to arrive.

On the positive side, our server was pretty nice and the atmosphere is about what you’d expect from an old school Italian joint. That being said, we won’t be back.

A nice Italian restaurant in the heart of little Italy. The pizza we got was okay, but we would probably opt for a pasta dish if we ever go back. Our server was good and they have a discount if you pay by cash, but it’s really just avoiding an upcharge for paying by credit card

Visited Little Italy with some friends and decided to eat at Mama Santa’s. Was not disappointed at all! Took a long time to choose a meal as all the options sounded amazing. Our server gave me her suggestions and I opted for the homemade fettuccine with meatballs. My friends ordered the stuffed meat ravioli and the manicotti. We all loved our meals and tried each other’s. Definitely will visit again!

Upon entering you can smell the sauce cooking. Since this was our first time there the waitress recommended both the pizza and a pasa dish. The pizza was a thin crispy crust and was very tasty. We chose the cavetelli with meatballs also. I could have eaten the entire plate even without sauce. The pasta has a nice touch of salt and perfect texture. The meatballs had a good taste but were a little soft for me. The staff was great. My Italian boyfriend chatted with them for awhile on the way out.

I had the pepperoni sausage pizza with mushrooms and olives. I honestly didn’t like it. It was mediocre I don’t know if it’s because it was take out. I’ll give it another try next time I’ll dine in.
I wanted to share some feedback about my recent takeout order. Previously, I had tried the pizza and didn’t enjoy it, but I decided to give your restaurant another chance with a variety of dishes: steak with fries, and spaghetti with meatballs. The steak was perfectly cooked, though a bit saltier than I prefer, but overall it was still good. The spaghetti was enjoyable, and I thought the sauce was flavorful. However, I didn’t care for the meatballs — they weren’t to my taste. One thing that really surprised and disappointed me was how the fries were packaged. They were wrapped in foil, which made them unappealing. Just because it was takeout doesn’t mean the quality of packaging should be overlooked. I honestly found it unappetizing.

Absolutely loved this place. After waiting in a controlled chaos line. We sat down and ordered beer and wine. We split an order of cavatelli with meatballs, a small pizza, and antipasto. They brought out bread that was softer than I thought it was going to be. I wish it had been warmed but otherwise very tasty. The pizza was very good, but the star was the cavatelli. The meatballs blew expectations away, but that fresh cavatelli was perfectly cooked. I would have liked them lightly tossed in sauce but they provided enough on the plate. Skip maxis and come here.

If you’re looking for authentic Italian comfort food in Cleveland’s Little Italy, Mamma Santa’s is an absolute must! From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that make you feel like part of the family. The service is friendly, attentive, and truly reflects the heart of a family-run restaurant.

The food is nothing short of incredible every dish tastes homemade, like it’s been perfected through generations. The pizza has that perfect balance of crisp crust, rich sauce, and gooey cheese, while the pasta is always fresh and served with flavorful sauces that taste like they came straight from an Italian kitchen. The lasagna and veal parmigiana are standouts, bursting with authentic flavor and generous portions.

Mamma Santa’s captures what dining in Little Italy is all about hearty food, a welcoming atmosphere, and the feeling that you’ve just had dinner at Nonna’s table. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next meal there.

Highly recommended for anyone who loves genuine, old-world Italian cuisine served with heart.

Mama Santa’s should be the definition of what a restaurant should strive for. Mama Santa’s has always had incredible service, a wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and most importantly, it has become a staple not just in the hearts of Clevelanders but in the hearts of all the people who have had a meal there. In my most recent meal here, I had an Antipasto Salad, a Medium Pizza with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and Mozzarella Sticks. All were wonderful, particularly the pizza. But Mama Santa’s is not just about the wonderful food. It’s also about the incredible experience that I hope to have again many times until the day I die.
