Oh my goodness this is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever visited. Their food is off the charts in flavor. The waitress was so nice and very accommodating. We will definitely be returning.

We visited here for dinner as it was across the street from our hotel. The wait time wasn’t long. I ordered the chicken Marsala which wasn’t very appetizing but I ate it so it wouldn’t go to waste. It wasn’t terrible but I was expecting for the mushrooms and pasta to be smothered in the Marsala sauce. Once you added salt and pepper it was much better. The chocolate mousse cake was also frozen, but once thawed it was good. Also some of my family ordered pizza slices and their veggies were practically raw on top of their pizza. Overall it was a decent experience.

Mama Rosa’s is more than a restaurant. You’re literally family there! I have never been a regular at any other place where they care for you like this place. And it feels like the most comfortable place to be. Yes there food is awesome! But it is above and beyond that reason the i love to be here. They are a part of my family as well! A very special thank you to Jamie, the owner. You’re kindness during my family’s hard times means more than you’ll ever know. And to my servers, all of you have been a very special part of my life also. You know who you are. I thank you for always taking care of my family and guests whenever we’re there. and not just doing You’re job, but showing compassion and kindness too. In the hopes of providing honest constructive criticism, here goes my review. Our waitress was very polite and served our table in a timely manner, service was no issue. However, we ordered Chicken Parm and a Stromboli with just cheese. We both got what we ordered, but you could tell the cheese in the Stromboli was the processed powder covered cheese you get from Food Lion, very odd flavor. The Chicken Parm was made with what tasted like frozen chicken patties and canned sauce, except they both had a very soapy taste to them like the dish liquid wasn’t cleaned from the pots and pans well. I truly hope Mama Rosa’s will put a little more effort to stand out in our one stoplight town and give our community some good food. Gretna ain’t big, and at this point it ain’t growing.

We LOVE Mama Rose’s. We try to go several times a month!
My husband and I both get the “Mama Rosa’s” salad and add grilled chicken–it is absolately the BEST MEAL and SERVICE around!! We usually sit in a booth in the bar area, service is great!!

Staying at the Hampton Inn across the street. Mama Rosas was recommended as a good place for lunch. Based on the menu, it looks like a great place for dinner, too!
Italian sub was good, not great fries, but that is just fine with me (shouldn’t eat them anyway!)

It’s been awhile, since I’ve been to Mama Rosa’s. I was cruising through Gretna and I was not aware Mama Rosas had a new location. I was pleasantly surprised with a nice Restaurant and bar area. The food was fantastic as always with great service.
