We went to Mama Louise right when they opened and we were seated right away. The atmosphere was really nice, it felt fancy but also cozy. We had immediate service, and the menu was very easy, all the options you would expect at an Italian place. I ordered the classic spaghetti with sausage, and my partner ordered the chicken parmesan. My favorite part was the pacing, everything came out at the perfect time, first the soup, then the salad and then our entrees. The service was instantaneous the entire time, I feel like we didn’t even have to wait at all, even our plates were cleared from the table almost the second that we were done, I was impressed by that. Everyone was really nice and professional. The food was delicious, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was hearty and amazing. I appreciated how well the restaurant was staffed. A lot of places try to pinch pennies by being short staffed or they don’t have a good work environment so there’s a high turnover rate for employees, etc. But I could tell that there were enough people to do each job, no one was rushing or stressed out, everything was perfect. We are definitely going to return frequently, I already know my order for next time

The chicken tasted (and looked, given that each piece was uniform in appearance) like it came pre-cooked from frozen.
The garlic bread and bread knots were quite bad.
The salad was mediocre.
There was very little variation in sauces on the menu, almost everything was just alfredo or pesto.
The pasta sauces tasted like they came from a packet, or perhaps a jar.
The service was fine.

Came here based on the majority of good reviews but myself and date were pretty disappointed with the food. The soup was some kind of tomato based soup (not listed) and bland with what seemed like no seasoning. We both didn’t eat it. We both ordered chicken fettuccine Alfredo and weren’t impressed. The sauce was okay but not overly flavorful and the chicken looked like frozen strips you microwave. No grilled marks or seasoning, just the same color as the sauce. We ate it but it wasn’t anything to talk about. The garlic knots came but lacked any garlic so they just tasted like cheese dusted bread, ok I guess. The waitress we had was nice but very awkward and then they would all gather behind our table and it just felt uncomfortable. The best thing was my dates salad. I don’t think I’d be back personally, but it’s a cute place.

If you want classic Italian food, this is a gem of a place. The prices are just right. And it feels like home cooking. I was waiting for an Italian mob boss to sit down and order his favorite meal. I will be back.

I came in to get take out, I got stuffed shells for myself and spaghetti for my father. The stuffed shells were absolutely disgusting!!. Lots of water in it And the cheese was coagulated….The spaghetti was not very good either the meatballs were very dense, no flavor at all… The sauce was watery and again no flavor…. Garlic knots were very dry, no taste to them at all. The only thing that was somewhat decent was the salad very disappointed !!!! spent 50 bucks, not happy , won’t be back.!!

I am so frustrated that my husband and I have not tried this place sooner! It’s so very good and the atmosphere and customer service is excellent! We came on an impromptu date night and were very impressed with the entire experience. We sat on the patio and the weather was perfect! A talented gentleman was playing traditional Italian favorites on an accordion which really set the mood. My husband ordered a pitcher of Sangria which was quite ambitious and larger than expected. It was delicious and he was very pleased. We started off our meal with the mussels and garlic bread. Cooked very well and buttery, NOT chewy! My husband ordered the stuffed shells with Italian sausage and I had the Chicken Franchaise. Each meal comes with a house made soup, salad, and garlic knots. Each course was excellent. The entrees exceeded any expectations we had and portions are generous. We finished off our meal with the Lemoncello cake which was light and smooth.
The service is some of the best I’ve had. They keep fully staffed and also have runners who get your drinks, beginning courses and to-go containers if needed. They also clear your table extremely quickly of empty dishes. Absolutely excellent! Our server was also great and very experienced. She checked in several times and we never felt rushed despite the speedy service!
The only part I would dock a star for is our to-go order for my sister. Her entree was amazing but they forgot the soup and salad. We’ll keep a closer eye next time. Cannot wait to go back!

Mama Louise is a true hidden gem in the Denver metro area. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with a warm, family-style atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. One of the best parts? Every meal comes with complimentary fresh bread, a crisp house salad, and a delicious soup—something you rarely find anymore. The bread is always warm and perfect for dipping in olive oil and balsamic, while the soups, like the Minestrone or Tomato Basil, are full of flavor and a great way to start the meal.
The food itself is outstanding. You can tell everything is made from scratch with high-quality ingredients. The lasagna is layered with rich meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and gooey mozzarella, making it an instant favorite. The chicken marsala is perfectly tender, with a deep, flavorful sauce that pairs beautifully with pasta. Their homemade pasta is what truly sets them apart—you can taste the difference in every bite. The Fettuccine Alfredo is creamy without being too heavy, while the Spaghetti Carbonara is the perfect balance of salty pancetta and creamy Parmesan goodness. If you’re a seafood lover, the Frutti di Mare is a must-try, packed with fresh mussels, shrimp, calamari, and clams in a rich tomato sauce.
Beyond the food, the service here is what makes the experience even better. The staff treats you like family—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Whether you’re here for a date night, a family gathering, or just stopping in for a solo meal, the cozy atmosphere makes it easy to settle in and enjoy.
Mama Louise is the kind of place you don’t just visit once—you find yourself coming back again and again. Between the complimentary extras, the outstanding homemade dishes, and the welcoming service, this is one of the best Italian spots in the Denver area. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian meal that delivers on quality, flavor, and value, this is the place to go.

A friend recommended this place, and we were not disappointed! Our food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful. They do charge a fee for using a credit card, which would have been nice to know ahead of time, but we’ll bring cash in the future.

I LOVE this restaurant!! We went for the first time this week and it is amazing!! The food was delicious, the staff was awesome, and the owner was walking around checking on and chatting up everyone. The Lobster Ravioli is rich and creamy. The Chicken Franchaise was soooo good. Our kids got spaghetti and meatballs and Chicken Alfredo. All were amazing. Don’t even get me started on how delicious the garlic knots are!! I highly recommend Mama Louise Italian Restaurant!!!
