This was my first experience in a Jamaican restaurant, and I have to say I will be coming back. The people in the restaurant are incredibly kind, highly spirited, and were helping me choose food from the menu that I can definitely say were delicious. Definitely coming back! For the food and for the kindness that was given to me and my friends.

This was my first time eating at Mama Claire’s and I am beyond pleased! I was greeted immediately when I walked in the door and the gentleman was so polite and patient as I decided what I wanted to try. I mentioned that I had a not such good experience at another Jamaican restaurant with ordering their oxtails but he and another lady assured me it was good! I HAVE NO REGRETS! Tender, flavorful and satisfying! I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN! We also got cow foot soup (one of the best I have had), plantain and curry goat! All cooked with love and passion!!! 10/10

I rarely give 5s. I really did not want to cook. I took a chance and stopped in. With all of the options I am glad I took a chance. I opted with our favorite Curry goat. Tender, well seasoned with reasonable price. I’ll come back to try all other dishes. And Stacy at the front was on top of customer service. Really annoyed my early Saturday dinner.

OMJ! The rice had me about to faint (perfect and not gummy or hard) very well seasoned. The oxtails and Jerk chicken was amazing to. I don’t think the jerk needed any additional sauce. Everything was seasons to perfection and warm —even though I came very close to closing. The customer service was also amazing. The lady who took my order over the phone was nice during the order and in person.

I recently visited Mama Claire’s as recommended by a friend and I must say this place has the vibes! The decor brings me back to yaad and the staff was friendly and checked in on us.
We had the oxtails, curry goat with rice and peas and escoveitch fish with was pretty good with the pickled onions and carrots Jamaican style . I did not like the sautéed vegetables, that was the only downside but the rice and peas was on point. The food amount was reasonable so if you are hungry you will be filled.
I would give five stars for more variety in the week as most things were not available like stew pork/stew peas with pig tail. But I understand it’s based on demand and that can change over time.
Give Mama a try, she cook good mon! Big up!

I visited this family own restaurant with my daughter during our visit for a conference, and I’m so happy we chose this place. The oxtails dinner with rice & peas was absolutely delicious, of course with the extra gravy! The seasoning was just right, it wasn’t salty, but was very flavorful. The atmosphere was great and my conversation with one of the owners daughter was great as well. I can’t remember her name, but she had beautiful teeth, I think she said she also works in Denistry. It was so good, we came back two days later, but sadly, they were out of oxtails. So, I ordered the fried chicken dinner and it was delicious as well. I met another sister who helps out on Mondays. I can’t remember her name, but she was just as nice. I will definitely visit them again on my next trip.
