I came to there first cooking class and it by far exceeded my expectations. The guest chef being Chef Sitrin was incredible. Malpa Cafe itself is quaint, homey, and inviting. I look forward to tasting their daily menu and other events like the B.Y.O.Boardgame night.

Honestly, everything about this café is perfect. The owner is incredibly kind, patient, and personable — she truly makes you feel welcomed. The space itself feels like a little piece of home. The coffee is exceptional, the pastries and sandwiches are delicious, and the service is just as wonderful. I highly recommend this café! 🙂

Tried this place for the first time following some good online reviews and couldn’t agree more. Hoping for decaf but they happened to have run out this time. I got the iced strawberry matcha latte instead with almond milk. They use real fruit puree that gives just a hint of sweetness which I prefer & enjoyed very much. I also tried the mini sfogliatelle, which was one of the best I’ve had. The pastry layers were perfectly crunchy & the sweet ricotta cheese filling has the perfect level of sweetness to balance the buttery pastry flakes.
They also have sandwiches for lunch, teas & a good selection of coffee beans from different regions with various flavor notes. Service is very warm but still a tad slow (seems to me that they’re still figuring out the right pacing between taking orders & making the drinks). The inside decor & lighting offer a very cozy but airy feel. This place has a great promise to be a charming place to chill, connect & a highly welcome new addition to the neighborhood. I sincerely hope this place thrives. I, for one, am looking forward to returning.

I was strolling by the neighborhood, and I found this place by chance. They were pretty new, but the atmosphere felt very cozy and nostalgic. I had the espresso, and I’m glad to say it was pretty delicious. It was very nutty, and the crema was excellent. If the espresso is that good, then i bet the lattes and cappuccinos will be great. I look forward to coming back, and I highly recommend this place

Such a lovely cafe with great vibes and beautiful artwork. The lady at the counter recommended the porchetta sandwich when I asked for help and it was absolutely delicious! The drinks, food, and atmosphere were excellent, and the staff was super friendly. Highly recommend!

Malpa is a lovely neighborhood cafe with an amazing selection of coffee, teas, sandwiches, and pastries. My husband and I live in the area and we happened to see a social media post about the business, so we walked over to try it. The owner was very welcoming and we had a great experience. We will definitely be coming back!

Malpa cafe is a breath of fresh air in this area, very approachable vibes with tons of natural light on one side, while moody toward the center of the room. Someone put a fair amount of thought into designing and building this space, and you start to noticed a bunch of cool decorations after you order and have some time to look around.
Looks like a completely family run place, and everyone was very friendly and bright.
The Iced Vanilla Latte & Drip coffee were quality and tasteful, not overly sweet on the latte and the drip was balanced and not watered down.
We ate the Porchetta on baguette which had an amazing pesto and fresh Mozz and also a grilled cheese sandwich that was opinionated in a good way with some bites of pungent cheese and jalapeno.
Can’t wait to come back here and bring my laptop or read a book! Got to sit at the big communal table and chat with another customer while I waited for everything to be prepared which was cool. I’m also excited to browse through their vinyl records and see if they would play them or not during the day.

This is a small family business with the best coffee in town and great atmosphere. They have both indoor and outdoor sitting. We really enjoys the latte, mint tea and matcha scone. We highly recommend this place.

This has become my favorite spot, and I’m so glad it’s close to where I live. My go-to is the banana bread with an iced matcha latte. The banana bread is to die for, which is why I come here almost every day they’re open. The staff and atmosphere make it even better.

It’s rare to find real coffee in the West New York, North Bergen, or Edgewater, NJ area, but Malpa Cafe delivers! This place is a total gem. The coffee is fantastic—rich, bold, and perfectly brewed. Their cappuccino is a game-changer, and the iced coffee is smooth as silk. The food at Malpa Cafe is absolutely OUT OF CONTROL. You’ve got to try their sandwiches; the egg brioche is my go-to, but every option is a winner!
The atmosphere at Malpa Cafe is cozy and inviting, with modern decor, warm lighting, and chill music that makes it the ideal spot for a quick coffee or a relaxed brunch in West New York, NJ. My friend opened this cafe with a passion for quality, and it shines through in the friendly service and fresh ingredients. Whether you’re a local in North Bergen, Edgewater, or just passing through, Malpa Cafe is a must-visit. Stop by this West New York coffee shop for breakfast, Brunch, or a coffee break—you won’t be disappointed!
