This place has been around for probably as long as I’ve been alive. Back in the day, it had the best buffet in the north metro. Covid took that away, but the food is still excellent. The interior has been well kept, people are friendly, and prices are still fairly reasonable. I think it’s kind of been forgotten, but it’s still one of the best Chinese restaurants in the North Metro.

My friend and I stopped in at Hopes Chinese Restaurant yesterday for lunch, it had been way too long since I had eaten there and was not disappointed! I had the chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, egg foo young (my favorite place to get egg foo young) and an egg roll. There was so much food I could only eat half of it, I brought the rest home and made 2 lunches out of the leftovers. Everything was delicious. We also shared an order of cream cheese wontons! The food came out pretty fast. I will definitely be stopping back in when I don’t want to cook for a few days, LOL

Sesame chicken was also good.
If you like spicy make sure you ask extra spicy for the spicy dishes.

Pros: typical chinese food prices/ not overpriced, good meat portion for chicken dishes, skinny noodle lomein a personal huge plus. Used grubhub to place pickup order. Order status

Cons: size of chicken pieces in bland lomein too big, just lazy cooking. Should be sliced smaller. Flavorless kung pao beef had few meat pieces. Starting to believe no matter what stir fry dish u order, they all have same gravy/sauce. Only diff being +/- certain veggies. Eggrolls were forgettable. Cashier/waitress unwelcoming upon entry and dismissive when asking for packets of sauce. 1st n last visit. No reason to support this dissapointing joint.

This place has been around a long time and I ordered my go to dish- tofu and vegetables. The spice, the flavors, the freshness—10 stars! SO delicious! Quick, hot, fresh and delicious. There are so many Asian restaurants out there, but this just had that classic simple vibe.
I ate more than I would usually eat and could not stop eating! This might be my new favorite place.

It’s a mediocre Chinese buffet. The selection is limited and the tastes are bland. I sampled almost everything and there were no standouts. One of the most mediocre hot and sour soup I have ever had. They didn’t even have toppings for the icecream. I did appreciate that it wasn’t expensive, and it wasn’t crowded, but there is no reason why it should be.

Hope is the spot for take out. My dad and I usually come by here to order a tray of house fried rice, lo mein, etc.
I believe it’s family owned so that’s also a plus cause you get to know them if you order there often.
Service is great in my opinion. They’re nice people there.
I will say, it’s sucks the pandemic had to shut down the buffet. I remember once eating at the buffet and was pretty decent. Hopefully one day, it’ll be open again. Until then, it’s more of a take out spot.
But it’s my favorite Chinese restaurant.
