I’m now in California but grew up visiting mallons in the summer while at the shore. Occasionally I try a sticky bun or cinnamon bun from a bakery here or there but I’m always disappointed when they don’t even come close to Mallons.

I’ve been a fan of Mallon’s for years. Recently I bought a dozen sticky buns for a colleague at work as a thank you. She said they loved Mallon’s in her family and that her husband makes French toast with the sticky buns. I was intrigued because I had also read about someone doing this in another Mallon’s review. I decided to give it a try and judge for myself. Awesome!!! I just did it small to try it but will next make it for my whole family one of these weekends. Pics attached.

Accept no substitutes. Mallon’s is the ORIGINAL Ocean City Sticky Buns. I have had a them from a few different places and these are the ones that take the cake. For years, we have ordered them in the winter time to eat on Christmas morning – it’s a tradition.
They have a pretty big selection of pastries besides the sticky buns, but. would ‘stick’ with those. They also have many new flavors but I would try plain first, they are my favorite anyway.
TOP TIP: Slice the cinnamon buns like bread and fry them like French Toast! This is an unbelievable treat. This is my preferred way to eat them.
All in all, this is one of the old staples of Ocean City. Mallon’s Sticky Buns are what come to mind when I think about sweets at the beach. Don’t miss this place!

Never been here before and left a bit disappointed. Apparently you can’t purchase just one of their “world famous” sticky buns, only by the dozen or half dozen. I understand that most people buy in bulk, but for single individuals, I can’t eat 6 sticky buns by myself. The iced cinnamon roll I got was very good though I just really wanted to try a sticky bun.

Ok…try this..just park downwind of Mallon’s and you won’t need the rest of this review! They have quite an array of sticky buns, donuts, and pastries to choose from but earlier is better for a wide selection. We went for pecan sticky buns and they were a delicious blast from my younger days here in Ocean City. The two girls serving were so nice as well. The buns are firm sweet dough with the “sticky” absorbed deep in the folds and lots of nuts. Absolute bliss!
