In Thailand, the Maliss flower (also known as the Jasmine flower) represents motherhood and signifies Love and Respect. Maliss Thai Restaurant is owned by Chef Theary Furman. Chef Theary has refined her skills for over a decade at Cambridge Fine Thai Cuisine restaurant The Similans. After 12 years, Chef Theary wanted to give birth to her own vision and share the distinct flavors of her family’s recipes. Joining her in the kitchen is baby sister Tara, and coming from Brookline’s Thai Street Food restaurant Khao Sarn is Aunt & Chef Sovanna Le. Together these 3 women wish to convey the love and respect they have for each other and their heritage through their cooking

This small, modern Thai spot offers eclectic & classic dishes prepared by a French-trained chef.

Very nice Thai food. Fresh and high-quality ingredients. Not too expensive. I highly recommend the mango curry shrimp to anyone who likes a little bit fruity taste in dishes. The chicken with pineapple and cashew is also nice.

Really nice place. Small and cozy. Pretty large menu selection. Great food. Our hostess was really patient with us as I was catching up with my niece after a long time of not seeing her So after a while we finally ordered.

Neighborhood restaurant has a moderate menu. Pad Thai included shrimp and chicken but needed salt to bring out the flavors. Duck Choo Chee also needed salt and slices of duck could have been thicker as the duck melted in the sauce. Steamed shrimp dumplings lacked the shrimp taste that was expected.

Food, service, & cleanness always consistent at this place. Food is made of good ingredients, and the taste is well balanced. With the somewhat minimalist presentation, the prices seem $2-3 high for lunch mains.

Quaint restaurant. Food is not flavorful. Pad See Ew was bland and just greasy. Carrots not fresh as they had pre-cut jagged edges like the ones in frozen bags. Pad thai was also very bland with breaded chicken that was very American. Nice people, though, so we appreciated that.

I don’t know what happened to this restaurant. I used to eat the Pad See Ew here almost weekly for years when it was Pon Thai Bistro. The noodles where soft and would not clump, and they had that delicious charcoal taste.
