Some of their dishes are really good! Especially the bak kut teh. Eat it while it’s hot! I’ve been back multiple time already. Some dishes aren’t very authentic but I’m not complaining.

Tasty Malaysian place nestled away in Lake Hills. The Laksa is the best I’ve had in the greater Seattle area – creamy and savoury, filled with shrimpy umami and the herbaceous flavour of lemongrass. The Char Kwey Teow had lots of wok hei flavour, with a nice generous portion, but could perhaps do with more toppings. Everything is very well priced for the area. Strong 8.5/10, excited to come back and try their chilli crab!

This is my all time favorite restaurant, it makes my mouth water just thinking about this place, if you don’t like it, you’re getting the wrong thing. Their fried rice is to die for, and the dry curry beef just completely melts in your mouth, not to mention the skewers, everyone is always nice and sometimes if it’s busy we have to wait, but I don’t care because I’m glad they are busy and I’m just excited to be there. Do a favor and treat yourself to this place.

I don’t know where the negative reviews came from, but I had very pleasant experiences for my couple of visits. Brought my mom in today, both of us loved the food we ordered. The ingredients were fresh, the soup was rich, and the portion was more than enough for us. The flavors were very close to Cantonese and Guangdong taste. Would definitely recommend.

Chicken satay was a bit salty for me. Black pepper lamb was good when we paired it with peanut sauce. Indian parantha with egg and green pepper stuffing was okay.

Malay Satay Hut used to be the best Malaysian restaurant in greater Seattle before they moved to this Bellevue location. I think the cooks or ownership changed and that’s no longer true.
Portions are smaller with less meat, flavor profile and technique has changed. The beef rendang is still worth it, but the other dishes were sparse.
Additionally, the wait staff was rude this time since we used the restroom before paying and they wanted to move onto the next customer.

Came with my dear friend and they have an amazing Malaysian food. The chef Veronica is the most nicest chef I met. I just wish their wait staffs could do a better service.

I used to live in Malaysia for many years and I love Hainan chicken rice very much. Every time he comes to this restaurant, he must order a Hainan chicken dish. Last night, I went to this Malay satay shop again. The taste of Hainan chicken has changed, the chicken is hard to bite, and the skin is thick and greasy. Every bite was disappointing. Obviously, they cut corners and used cheap materials. I ate a few bites out of respect for the food. In fact, I have visited this restaurant many times and have also introduced friends to eat there. In the end, the result was disappointing. Unfortunately, I will never visit this restaurant again!

I recently dined at Malay Satay Hut and had an excellent experience. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious food options that cater to all tastes. It’s a fantastic place for family dining, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes it ideal for spending quality time with loved ones. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Malay Satay Hut for anyone looking for great food and a family-friendly environment.

We were here with a big group for lunch and they have good seating options for big and small groups. It’s a lovely beach-shack vibe inside. The food is great too and it was my first time experiencing the Malaysian and fusion dishes. Or orders took a while to arrive but they came pretty quickly after that. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. Personally I’d highly recommend the Nasi Lemak and some fresh lime juice to wash it down.
