This place is fantastic, the workers are super welcoming and friendly like if we know each other. They really help in any possible way. They don’t rush you to order, they answer all questions asked, and never in a bad mood. They are just beyond nice workers. 1st time I stopped by this place was a week ago while going back home from Fillmore and after working all day the best thing to treat your body is with a nice cup of coffee. As they have a wide variety of options I didn’t know which one to go for, I just wanted something different from most places, and this place has plenty of options, anyway I think I got the blended nutty irishman, it was absolutely delicious, personally I really loved it, as I was driving around the corner and there is not Makena in Huntington Park I decided to turn around I get a 2nd coffee cause I didn’t know when I would be back to work in the area, and my 2nd coffee was as great as the 1st coffee. And today Nov-12, I decided to go for another one, same great service and great coffee, I got the Santa’s cookies, absolutely delicious and the girl who took care of my order, she is extremely helpful and friendly , while I was trying to choose which drink to get she didn’t even rush me or didn’t even get upset, because I didn’t know what to order , I just didn’t ask her name but she is super friendly, thanks I highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone which is perfect for kids as well. Plus they have food, tacos, burritos, burgers and soft serve for extra dessert. I was lucky today, I got a free meal card, thank you so much again. Personally I really liked this coffee, so flavorful and very good prices.

Mmmm, excuse me? Hidden gem alert!!! I got the double smash burger with bacon, cheese fries, and a small blended drink on a whim to try something new on my way to Camarillo. You can get a quality meal without breaking the bank PLUS it’s DELICIOUS!!! IN N OUT WHO??? It’s better than their smash burger and fries and it’s not close. I said what I said. The flavor of the cheese sauce? Delectable. The crispy edges on my smash burger? Cravable. I cannot wait to bring my family when they come to visit.

OMG what a hidden gem! The absolute best smash burger in Simi Valley! The whole entire staff made this first visit incredible and memorable. Taylor, Gino, Zoe were incredibly helpful, friendly and full of joy! So were the amazing chefs Max and Luis! This place is a must for anyone looking for a Smash Burger. The fries are made with beef tallow and are insanely good. The chiller, which is like a milkshake, was mind blowing. I am happy I found this wonderful place. They’ve got a lifelong customer in me! I can’t wait to try everything else on the menu.

The coffee drinks are solid, as well as the seafood taco options, and the smash burgers. Both times we’ve gone so far the chips have been very over-salted. The customer service training of the staff was a stand out. They are welcoming and helpful, which is not a given most places. The menu has good value overall, but a few adjustments to seasoning and the content/assembly of the burritos could be improved to really get it all the way right. (Most of the shrimp on the same half of the asada and shrimp burrito, most of the egg on one half of the breakfast burrito)

Ok so we love the coffee, it tastes great. When I arrived to pick up our order they said it get it was my complete order but I was short 1 drink luckily I called my wife to double check. I’m really not happy that one was 3/4 full and almost no whipping cream, the other was full of whipping cream and almost no coffee. The phone number is hard to find and the when you do call it goes straight voicemail and the voicemail is full.
Update: I did go back for a second run and showed the cashier and he apologized and remade the drinks at no charge.

Love Makenna. Been a fan ever since it first opened in Simi. I do wish the food tasted a little better- the burritos are hot and cold in certain places and don’t taste as great as other options, but the coffee is delicious and service is always friendly. We were helped by the cashier Caden and wanted to shout him out for being a kind and helpful person! Thanks guys.

I can’t say enough about this place. For one the food is great drinks are amazing!! And the atmosphere is great . The kids that work here are all good kids with great attitudes they are all very helpful ! I am so thankful I got in to see them finally and have visited multiple times now. I wish It was a drive thru with this same quality and speed this is way too perfect for Simi valley just for the busy moms with multiple kids would be so nice to have a easy pick up or drive thru options ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Both are delicious.
The Cali Smash Burger is so damn good…!! I’d definitely say it’s a better burger than even a cheeseburger from In-N-Out.

Whenever there is a new place in our little town, we make a point of trying it out. Makenna is known for their delicious coffee. But now they have introduced new items to their coffee menu and a new location on Tapo st.
At first glance, the beach house is bright, clean, and has a chill vibe. I love the neon signs and the fun colored chairs. We got in the long line and realized there was no menu. I looked at my husband and wondered where is it? We got to our cashier and saw two menus on the counter. The menu was not too large but it would have been nice to stand in line and browse a menu. I will add pictures of the menu to my review.
We ordered the smash burgers and two choices of tacos. One was Mahi Mahi and the other was shrimp. Both were delicious. The smash burgers were small in size so if you are hungry, I would recommend the double smash. We also ordered the fries but they were not crispy. They were the only item we were not pleased with….
The prices were reasonable and I would definitely come back. Also for being very busy, our food came out fast. I was very pleased with that.

Double Smash burger is very good! I really wanted to like the brisket taco and had it been hot I probably would have but it was served cold the first time and barely warm after sending it back. Lots of very young staff…the restaurant itself has a cafeteria feel to it but it is bright and airy with lots of natural sunlight. I will go back but probably just for the smash burgers to go!
