This Venezuelan food truck stunned me on how fresh and non greasy the food was and the truck will be hard to miss since it’s so well wrapped out. The owner was polite and helpful with his menu options.
As for the taste the beef was slightly overbearing on its sodium content. The empanadas were perfect but very pricey for just 3 and including amount of meat in them, they are typically purchased for about $2.50 each or $7 for 3 at any other Venezuelan location.

Just ordered food at the USAFA bonfire tonight and first of all, you all were hesitant to place my order bc you didn’t have a card machine, then you weren’t sure you wanted to take my cash, and finally your staff said, “were you in line” ugh no lady, I cut in front of 50 people, geez! She finally said, “ok fine what do you want”. Hard to know when you don’t have a menu with prices, but okay. Had I not been waiting in line for 25 minutes I would have left. To top it off, one arepa/3-4 yucca fries and a drink was $15! Not even worth it! Never again!

Beer is from Dueces Wild, also very good!

We booked them recently for. Comedy and Art Show in Colorado Springs and let me tell you…..This food is absolutely one of the best Latin American Food trucks I have ever had! On the East coast Latin American food is very prevalent, however to see this quality, authenticity and taste here in Colorado, is unheard of! I will buy their food every time I see them! Everything on the menu just puts your senses on alert and your taste buds in a frenzy!

So so so good! They never miss. I always choose Makaw’s when I’m at Hillside. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. The white sauce and yuca fries is my fav!
I also love staff! The guy that takes your order is wonderful.

Yeah, find these guys on Tuesdays at Goat Patch Brewing Company. Or, of you happen to see the truck driving around, follow them until they stop. I had the Pabellon Arepa combo with Yucca Fries and Wasakiki sauce. The arepa was crispy but not crumbly, the pabellon was juicy and delicious. The black beans remarkably stayed mostly on the sandwich, but that may have been because it tasted soooo good they didn’t have time to fall off. The Yucca fries were crispy, and went well with the avocado and green pepper sauce, but now I’m curious about the pineapple habanero sauce…will just have to try that next time. Went great with a hazy IPA from Goat Patch.

The arepa was great, but their sauce options are very bland. Had the pineapple habanero and it had no spice. The avocado and green pepper was just ok. The combo option is not really worth it since the sauce isn’t great and you only get 6 fries or so (literally).

We had Makaw’s out to serve my company lunch today and we were ASTOUNDED by their efficiency, freshness of food but most of all — DELICIOUSNESS! The yuka fries were INCREDIBLE – crispy and fresh. The arepa was stuffed full of meat and juicy. Carol and Scarlett were so friendly and kind. I will personally be looking out for these guys parked up around town to grab some more of their food and we are eager to have them back at Xledger very soon! Thank you.
