This is the most high-end sushi restaurant in the neighborhood. The staff’s thoughtful explanations, the elegant atmosphere, and the refined background music made our dinner truly special. Always hunting for the best sushi in the area, and was excited to celebrate my birthday dinner here after reading the reviews. I didn’t add that it was my bday to the reservation, though. We were the only group there for a while on Thursday night which was fine, but the host / our server was not very friendly even though we were the only customers – did not introduce himself or check in on our meal. Was hoping to look at a dessert menu (family next to us has ice cream!) but was given the check well before 9pm and felt rushed to leave, when the restaurant closed at 9:30pm.
The ambiance was nice and clean! The food came out fast, beautiful presentation, and tasted good going down! Loved the Tuna Tataki and Beef Carpaccio appetizers. The LA Gimli entree was very good as well. Wished there was some more variety in available protein in the special rolls.
Unfortunately 2/4 members of the party had stomach issues that night, and we wonder if the raw food was not very fresh? Maybe it just wasn’t the restaurant’s best night or an “us problem.” Either way it is a very cool restaurant in the area with a lot to offer.

This is my second time coming here and both times have been fantastic! The sushi is so fresh and tasty and the hot entrees are always super yummy. The music isn’t too loud and the tables are big!! It’s BYOB so don’t forget your wine but highly recommend for a nice dinner out!

I had an incredible experience, and believe that everyone across the world should indulge in the delicacies that BON has to offer. We ordered a sushi combo and a 3 hand roll combo, and both dishes were nothing short of amazing. The Westwood hand roll was our favorite of the night, for sure. The service was excellent, and the dishes we were recommended were delicious as well.

I had another wonderful dinner at Bon Sushi in New Jersey! One of our friends couldn’t eat much sushi, so we ordered mostly cooked dishes — including the LA galbi, pan-fried yukjeon, and a special sushi roll — and every single dish was delicious and came out so quickly.
We brought our own wine (BYOB), and it paired perfectly with the food — especially the galbi and yukjeon. Since it was a birthday celebration, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making the evening feel so warm and special.
The atmosphere here is always cozy and welcoming, and I love how they offer a nice variety of both sushi and hot dishes that everyone can enjoy together. They also serve a tasty tea that complements the meal beautifully, which adds such a pleasant harmony to the dining experience.
