For a beautiful French restaurant with impeccable service, too many dishes were just not that great. Pass on the duck, the NY strip, the scallops, the vol-au-vent with escargots, the foie gras, – I think the only dish that stood out as excellent was the filet mignon. Even the desserts were mediocre. Not bad, just not great, especially at that price. Still, absolutely perfect service, they really take care of you, and lots of beautiful fresh flowers.

My bf and I took my mom out for a fun afternoon tea at the Majorelle. Unfortunately, comparing to our other afternoon tea experience in the city, the food and service were both disappointing. As I read thru the review on Google, many people spoke so highly about the warm scones. I was looking forward to trying them. However, they served three different flavors, I stopped after trying half because they are just so dry and hard. The sandwiches were extremely basic, cucumber, chicken curry, lobster and egg sandwich. None of those really stood out to us. The pear puff was the only highlight of the pastry. And another star goes to their delicious green tea.
The service was not attentive at all, even rude. Our server was 6 feet tall male, dark hair, wearing black frame glasses. There was no welcome, nor introduction or greetings. The entire time service was very cold and lack of even politeness, came off as arrogant tbh. He never refilled our tea once. The only time he smiled was after tipping, so frankly he didnt do much to deserve that. The one star of service goes to all the other servers who has been help refilling a little. But most of the time, we did it on our own. I do have to say the managers are all super professional and attentive. Maybe training needs to improve on servers. All in all, this is not the service we expect from a top afternoon tea place in the city.
Also the size of the main afternoon area is quite small. Just felt kinda tight and a little noisy if you are close to a big group. The real flower arrangement was beautiful.
Overall, we would not go back again.

HOW TO GET IN: you will definitely need to book this online beforehand but it’s very easy to get a reservation.
I think this may be the best place I have had afternoon tea in the city. The service was excellent. Costa treated us so well and made us feel so special. The space is absolutely stunning as well as all the Dior tableware. The desserts and sandwiches are some of the best I’ve ever had. Each one was great. We also ordered the dips which are a must. I appreciate we could switch tea flavors. I also liked that we got the scones after, so there was enough room on the table for all the jams and cream.

Just had the afternoon tea, and it was excellent. The Chef’s tea selection was indeed special. every one of the finger bites was of the highest quality, creative, and tasty. And I must say that Chef Matthew’s pastries were World-class!. Also thank you to the stellar team, as well as Jacque and Alex. and the relaxing, authentic, atmosphere added to the experience.

The ambiance was undeniably beautiful, but the overall experience left much to be desired. Our server made a subtle, unnecessary comment that implied my guest and I were only there for social media clout which couldn’t be further from the truth. I brought my mom to enjoy a quiet, elegant high tea for her birthday. No filming, no fuss just a special outing. The servers here seemed quite arrogant and tense. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the setting. Only about less than half of the offerings were genuinely enjoyable, and for the price point, I expected a more refined and flavorful selection. The sandwiches weren’t very good and they were bland. It’s a visually stunning venue, but in my opinion, the experience doesn’t quite match the price.

It’s a very unique afternoon place. The backyard atmosphere looks like the secret garden, I’m feeling have an afternoon tea in the 1800 England with those Dior green dinnerware. Foods are bare to light taste and decent. I love Red Snapper Tartare and Parfait with eatable flowers that add the refreshing flavor in those. Their menu are very similar to all other places but generally is decent. I wish they will change the menu from time to time that I definitely like to visit again.

My friends and I have been trying out different afternoon tea spots around the city, and the one at Majorelle in The Lowell Hotel is my favorite so far. The ambience, the setting (Christian Dior’s Lily of the Valley tableware collection), the service, and food were all top notch. Everything was a feast for the senses, and they do a good job of making you feel special. Most of us had the Lily of the Valley Afternoon Tea service with champagne. Some had the Majorelle Garden Tea, which has the same offerings as the Lily of the Valley tea service, but with extra trio of Moroccan dips and pita. The tea sandwiches were decent, but not terribly exciting. The sweets were creative with varying flavors. The scones were fantastic. They were served warm with two flavors of marmalade and Devonshire Cream. They served the scones both plain and with raisins. The scones with the Devonshire Cream were the star of the show in my opinion. Of the Moroccan trio dips, I only cared for the Eggplant Hummus (smoky and delicious) and Moroccan Salad (fresh and good). I found the Feta and Red Bell Pepper Puree too salty for my palate, but they were very generous with the pita to eat these with. I enjoyed the Earl Grey tea I ordered, which was served in a nice, large pot, set over a clever tealight stove to keep the tea warm.
Overall, it was a lovely afternoon tea experience, which I’d recommend.

The Dior Lily of the Valley High Tea here is exquisite. The sweet and savory handhelds are very delicious — I had no qualms about anything that was served and it was presented beautifully. All on Dior china, as well.
The ambiance is stunning — you feel like you’re in a quaint little spot in Paris, quiet and private, when you’re in the bustling city.
The staff is so friendly and attentive.
My recommended tea of choice: Jardin Bleu tea – blend of black teas from Cylon and China mixed with rhubarb and wild strawberry.

I went here for the Lily of the Valley Dior Afternoon Tea and I have to say that I was disappointed. Other than the plates, tea cups & kettle, which were Dior, there was no theming. You could purchase 2 Dior “themed” cookies for $15 and they were nothing special.
Huge positive though was that they were very accommodating towards my dairy allergy and my dairy free desserts very good. The blood orange sorbet was amazing and I wouldn’t back just for that! The sandwiches were not good. Thick slices of bread with very little filling inside, this was the first time that at any afternoon tea I’ve had to remove one slice of bread so that I could taste the filling. The atmosphere was very nice, especially the back area where they have clementine trees.

Wonderful table sitting next to each other overlooking the flowers in main dining room. Food was amazing. Wine selection was wonderful and didn’t break the bank. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Risottos are a real treat. Black truffles seasonal treat. Feels like you’re in Paris.
