Majek Vineyard & Winery is perfectly located for anyone traveling HWY 77 or I10 between Austin and Houston. Just enough off the beaten path to feel like you’ve left your cares behind while still only a 90 minute trek to either Houston or Austin. It’s ideal for a day trip when you wake up to gorgeous Texas weather and want to picnic with friends and family or need a place to escape the gloom while admiring the Texas countryside from the climate controlled tasting room with huge windows.
Over the years, Majek V&W has tweaked the menu to include locally sourced foods and fresh dishes – think uncomplicated, easy to enjoy with wine options. You can absolutely build yourself a meal or order a menu item here or there throughout the day depending on what wine you are enjoying. My current favorite wines are the Barbera and the new Sauvignon Blanc. There’s also a curated selection of their soaps, lotions, vinegars, dipping herbs, and even occasionally French linens.
On the website is a link to the winery’s AirBNB. It’s an easy walk down the hill to the winery, but it feels completely isolated surrounded by Texas flora and fauna. It’s a lovely place to escape to for lots of privacy and coziness. Make sure you also keep track of their social media sites so you can plan your trip to coincide with some of the amazing community events they host each month.

We always love our visits to Majek. The wine is excellent. Highly recommend their Barbera vintage. The sitting is peaceful and great for small kids—plenty of room to run around outside. We are looking forward to our next trip!

Relaxing little vineyard tucked away in the Hill Country of TX. Owners are friendly and very welcoming. Nice selection of wine varietals. Tasting room is inviting there’s also outdoor seating under some trees. We enjoyed our visit very much.
