The food was great and the atmosphere was amazing.
However the service was not great.
We were seated immediately and there was 2 girls on the counter and only one other group was having their meal there.
We waited for almost 20 minutes and one of the girl was cleaning up other tables but never bothered to come to our table to take our orders. After some time when we went to the front and asked the other girl whether we need to order by ourself then the girl remembered that she totally forgot about us being there.!! Quite disappointed but then she took our order and we ordered coffee and bring that to our table at the end but didn’t seem to write our order down.
The food came quick and it was very delicious. But then the coffee never came and we were left there sitting for almost 30 minutes. When we called and asked for coffee then the girl seems she didn’t inform and forgot about it so she brought the coffee once after we asked about it.
Overall it was not so welcoming by those two girls and despite the great food the service might not bring us back here again. Hope they improve their service !!!

Wow did I love my lunch at this place! Seriously…I’ve spent a fair amount of time in the Middle East and this place produced food that took me right back.
I took a sip of their hot tea, served with sugar as it should be, and immediately flashed back to sitting on the ground having tea and discussing things that don’t get repeated on Yelp. Two sugars and hold the little glass cup by the top and bottom so you don’t scorch yourself. Yep, just like over there except no chips in the rim of the glass to watch out for.
One bite into my kefta and I could almost see a dude in a dishdasha hand-cranking a fan to stoke the flames of whatever he found to burn on a piece of I-beam so that he could cook up a skewer of meat while I waited. A thick stream of smoke blowing across the street to make everyone’s mouth water just from the smell of the meat grilling. Yep – it was THAT taste.
Of course, there was spice too. And a garlic aioli dipping sauce for the fries that just plain rocked.

Wonderful place to eat. Great service. Portions are impressive. I had the vegetarian platter. Do not be fooled by the area that it’s in or the very nondescript exterior. Once inside you are transported to another land. Great place for both large or small gatherings. Please support our local mom and pop places!!

Shawarma mix plate had very dry meat, we could tell it was not freshly made. Also the small side salad smelled bad and looked way past due.

The lamb chops and kibbeh were so good I nearly cried. The food arrived a little cold, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. Next time I’ll be eating at the restaurant, because I need to tell the chef to his face that this is one of the best restaurants in St. Louis.

We had the mixed grill for 2. The chicken and beef were tender and flavorful, the rice was delicious, and the Arabic bread and Hummus were superb. The portion size is large, plenty to fill us up and a little extra for later.
Loved the decor in the restaurant, vibrant colors and comfortable seating. The staff is super friendly and assisted with all our questions. Definitely will be one of my new favorite go toos for fresh,flavorful delicious food.
