This review is for the upstairs restaurant which has a beautiful atmosphere. You are greeted with a warm tortilla and salsa that is just divine. All the dishes we ordered were beautifully presented, the winner was the octopus with mole. The shrimp taco was cooked well but it may have benefited from some lime. The duck mole is perhaps too sweet. The corn tres leches is an interesting twist on a classic.

One of the great taco places in the area. I even saw on social media that Kanye West stopped by here before, which is pretty cool. The concept is awesome.

There was probably a little mistake with our order this time. People who ordered after us got their food first, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes. The staff did double-check our order in the end, which we appreciated.

Overall still a good experience. Thanks!

We always walked by this place and saw the long line, and we’d heard people talk about a great taco spot nearby—but somehow never connected the dots. Glad we finally did.

This is a standing-only setup, no seats at all. You order at the bar and eat right there. What makes it even cooler is that the bars face directly into the kitchen, so you’re watching the team work fast and nonstop. As you can see in the photos, everything feels open, busy, and very focused on the food.

Yes, the wait is long, but it’s absolutely worth it. You can tell they’re taking their time for a reason.

All the sauces are set up in the middle of the counter and shared by everyone, which works surprisingly well and lets you customize every bite. Each taco comes out on its own small plate, fresh and hot.

We ordered 4 tacos to share, then immediately added 2 more, that pretty much says it all. Flavorful, well-balanced, and incredibly satisfying.

If you love great tacos and don’t mind standing and waiting a bit, this place lives up to the hype. Definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to.

Am really surprised at the lower rating of this place as this was the best restaurant across my 2 visits to cdmx. The standing communal eating is not for everyone and also the tacos are blue corn. But everything about this place is amazing, starting with the tortillas, the meat that is grilled fresh. The ribeye steak is to die for , they grill it on wood.
I would definitely eat here multiple times next visit. It’s a small place and reservations are limited, but the best bet is to go there 12:30 and stand in line when it opens at 1.

I loved it! Came by myself spontaneously just in time before they open at 1. Got in with the first round of guests, ordered three tacos and the Flan. Chicken Milanese was my favourite; I really liked that you could grab guacamole and further toppings besides their salsas. All very tasty. Flan was outstanding! Out of this world. I guess for queuing and getting a spot it’s a bit of a just-try-and-go situation — especially when you don’t expect too much and just take it easy. Will def go again.

@mealsoflegend: This was one of the best meals during my last visit to CDMX. Simple but carefully prepared menu. No real seating area and a little bit of a wait but the truth is that it’s worth it. (Rarely is) the tortillas are delicious since they make them themselves and the quality of the meat is top notch. As stuffed as I was I also ventured to try the blue Pinole ice cream and it was delicious. Pair the tacos with some colimita beer and you are set

Excellent spot to try authentic Mexican street food. Meat quality is awesome. Honestly, quesadillas are great but you can find the same taste and quality in many other places. The only downside is waiting time (one hour) in a Saturday. The best taco was the “taco of the day”, it was made of pozole.

Ok so not sure why this is only 4.1 we’ve eaten at two other famous TikTok places here with better reviews and this place had the best tacos by far! Let alone standing and eating and watching them cook in front of us literally was so wicked! The longaniza was my fav and second fav was the campechano ribeye con longaniza both so good we ordered doubles after. Best tacos I’ve had ever, yea you stand so what, ya you gotta walk to go get some hot sauce toppings so what!

Very good.

Great food, good service, nice atmosphere.

I went on a friday, just after they opened. There was a line already but I only had to wait for 10 min. Be sure to arrive early if you don’t have reservation!!

I was seated on the first floor, right across the taco making area, which was so fun to see.

I had a light lunch of two tacos and a beer. First taco was costilla de res, which was excellent. The other one, rib eye, very good too. Pricing a bit on the upper side but is what you can expect.

Would definitely go back if in Mexico city again!

Taqueria review: All about the nixtamalized “creole” corn here. The FCFS taqueria only sells tacos and gorditas, so not a large corn experience. Fresh and unique tortillas were very good, but enough to warrant standing in line for 45 minutes? Not so sure about that. I loved my ribeye with tasty longaniza, and P2 loved her brisket volcane (with a lot of cheese). The not recently fried totopo crumb-crusted eggplant and the suadero gordita were both bland and uninteresting, unfortunately. Charming staff and efficient digitized communal ordering. I would definitely go back to the restaurant with a reservation (required, and nothing available for at least a week) where the menu is more corn-forward with no tacos. Taqueria? Not so much.
