Maiwand Kabob was a regular dinner spot when I lived in the area, and we still like to go there on occasion. If you can get there early enough for the daily specials- at around $12 those are always a great choice. More recently I’ve been a fan of the vegetable platter. The platter is about $15, with a lot of variety that includes eggplant, chickpea, spinach, potato, and pumpkin, with a side of naan! What appreciate about this dish is each vegetable is flavorful and texturally unique so I don’t feel like I’m eating a plate of vegetable mush, as a vegetarian afterthought. My favorite is the pumpkin with the drizzle of yogurt sauce – Yum! An added bonus is that the portion size is large enough for two servings.

Food was great except for one item, the hummus, which was just sort of bland. But their Naan is fantastic, so it makes up for it. Service was fairly friendly although a bit confusing. It can be a traditional sit down or counter service or take out? It was not very clear to me. But the restaurant is very nice and clean and plenty of parking. I can definitely recommend, and I will be going back.

AMAZING!! Words cannot describe how incredible this place is!! I come here at least once a week. It’s my first stop after traveling, immediately straight from the Amtrak lol. No detours! Lol I come straight here after traveling bc the food is DELICIOUS! The service is extremely friendly and kind! Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant! All locations are superb! but I usually visit Columbia crossing. Last time, I ordered the lamb chops with seasoned rice, eggplant & curry potatoes; kofta & chicken tikka with seasoned rice, pumpkin & curry potatoes; mango shake & veggie samosa…EVERYTHING WAS A MASTERPIECE!

Ordered through uber eats yesterday because I love Maiwand Kabob in Harper’s Choice. But this branch is awful evidently, I ordered a mint yoghurt drink, they sent a cheaper bottle of water instead. And the mutton kabobs were undercooked( I ate them after cooking them again by sauteeing them for 5 mins), but at least nothing was missing. I showed the delivery guy the water bottle, he said talk to uber. I contacted uber, they said contact store. That is the water instead of the mint yoghurt drink.

I waited 45 minutes for one order of kabobs and hummus. Once received the container of hummus exploded everywhere twice. I would recommend the other Maiwand Kabob by the hospital over this one their portions are much larger (5 pieced of bread vs 2, hummas container is double the size, etc) and the wait time is half as long.

The food is phenomenal. We got the Chicken Tikka Kabob & the Lamb Kebab w/rice. Both dishes were packed with flavor and so delicious. The fresh naan bread was really good and is served with each dish. Just a heads up, place your order in advance because the wait is substantial, but the food is well worth it, so order accordingly.

We visited Maiwand Kabob to celebrate birthday, Although stuff was nice, and let us stay for a longer time, and also brought clean plates for our cakes, we did not have a good experience. For a party of 6 adults and 2 kids we waited for an hour for a food to come. When the food finally came, there was not enough bread for everyone (just a quarter of pita per person). No to mention, the food is so overpriced. For two people it’s around $50, because 18% of gratuity is automatically included. And they are expecting you to pay more tips, because they bring you a pan and a card holder upon issuing the receipt. We were unhappy.
