Ordered pick up as I was leaving work and was notified in ~15 minutes that my food was ready. Walking inside, the restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere with artwork, images, etc, from Afghanistan and a very friendly older gentleman working the counter.
This was my first time ordering Afghan food so I wanted to make sure I got a few items which ended up being surprisingly cheap only around $30. Went with the grilled lamb kabob, falafel, and samosas, which all came with complimentary naan. The food was overall very good, if anything the lamb was a bit tough.
As a whole Id very much recommend.

This is one of our all-time favorite spots! My husband loves the chicken kabob and my favorite is the vegetarian platter. The chickpeas, spinach, and potatoes are amazing and we always get the samosas. Everything is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.

Absolutely phenomenal food. Beautiful artwork on the walls. Could use more. Tv completely unnecessary. Only real suggestion to improve would be to provide real utensils and glasses.

Food was super yummy and the service was great- it was my first time coming and my order was ready within 15 minutes. There was a very friendly young man working the register and it was overall a 10/10 experience. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to all my friends 🙂

It is wonderful to see a business grow and flourish, especially since the devastation of the COVID lockdowns. Maiwands is a jewel in our community. The food is flavorful and the atmosphere is welcoming. Maiwands has updated the seating. It is aesthetically pleasing. My eyes are drawn to the art and tapestries on the wall.
Most importantly is the staff. I’ve frequented this establishment for over 13 years (since I started having pregnancy cravings). I recently ordered food but forgot my wallet. Explaining the situation, I was able to bring the food to my “starving” spouse and return to settle the bill. It is refreshing to have community where people know each other and genuinely interact with each other. Check it out Maiwands! You won’t be disappointed.

The owner let me know that the tandoori oven has a crack in it and this caused external particles to enter the food we had consumed. I would recommend to steer clear of this place until the oven is fixed

When you order, ask them to cook it rare. Usually 5 stars but they seem to be over cooking their food a bit lately. The medium rare lamb is rather medium. The rice is a little dry. The salad and dressing are still great. The naan is possibly the most fluffy and chewy one in the area, it’s also especially large!!
