Incredible service very nice, little spot to sit down and eat. The tea was tasty and the dessert was very good.
The portions were great with $30. It was enough to get two people full.
The guy was so welcoming we had to leave a tip. Above and beyond definitely recommend this place!!!

Arrived around 12:30 on a Saturday and was able to immediately order and grab a table. Seating appears to be somewhat limited – there’s about seven tables inside and I think one outside.
The menu on the wall is limited to mostly Mediterranean dishes, but the physical menus also have a large selection of dishes from the Indian subcontinent.
We ordered hummus, shish tawook, and goat biryani. All dishes were delicious. The hummus was super smooth, and the goat biryani had a decent heat level. Recommended and we will be regulars for sure!

Kind of a Mashup of Middle Eastern, South Asian food vs Mediterranean.
Had Falafel. Hummus, Chicken Biryani and Beef Shawarma sandwich… all spectacular.
Chicken Biryani was one of the better biryanis I’ve had. Nice seasoning and slight heat and just a touch of lemon.
Hummus was really really good.
Small and quiet seating. Very relaxing.

Had falafel, lamb kabob and chicken tikka masala. All we’re so delicious and flavorful with special mention to the tikka masala! The restaurant was an interesting mix of mediterranean and Indian that hit the spot!

This place and its owner are fantastic. They serve some of the best chicken and lamb biryanis in town. The restaurant is clean and super friendly. I’ve been a loyal customer for the past five years and highly recommend trying their food.

I have been going to Maira since they were located in Old Louisville.
Their new location is great. I really like the mural on the wall and the atmosphere is always great. Everyone inside is always very helpful and friendly.
My go to here is the chicken shawarma sandwich. The trip also wouldn’t be complete without a mango lassi. I’d have to say they have the best chicken shawarma and mango lassis are the best in Louisville.
Aside from those, I always make sure to get a side of their garlic sauce, hummus, and some of their pita bread. Their chicken shawarma and late is also very good.
You can’t really go wrong with anything they have here and I can’t wait to keep trying more of the items they have on the menu. If you’re in the area I’d definitely recommend stopping by.

Found this place a year or so ago and have been coming monthly. Food is great, flavor is always there and so is consistency. Food is fresh with large portions and in my opinion a very fair price. I’ve tried the chicken shawarma, gyro, salad, hummus, mango lassi and lamb chops. It’s all very good and some of the best I’ve had in the city. The wait has always been very minimal less than 15 minutes even if there is a crowd inside. The team there is so kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!!

I ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich and it was heavenly! I’ve tried both the spicy and non-spicy versions — while I personally prefer the spicy, the non-spicy is still perfectly seasoned and great if you’re not big on heat. Ordering is super easy whether you call ahead or order online, and every time I’ve gone, my food has been ready in 5–10 minutes. Love this place and definitely recommend it if you’re looking to try something new!

If you like Mediterranean food this is the place you should visit, excellent service, small and modest place but very cozy. The flavor of the dishes is exquisite. Highly recommended Moroccan Chicken.
