Take out was smartly packed. The lobster roll was good, lobster was tender, lots of it, and roll very accurate to the description…. tasty. The price is very reasonable for what you get. I am from New England and have eaten others to compare. The grilled cheese had a lot of lobster and my daughter liked it but husband did not because of the added tomato jam (perhaps his fault for not asking for it on the side). Clam chowder is a bit tangy and we liked it. We are visiting Boulder but would definitely order again if in the area.

I ordered from Uber Eats and didn’t have the best experience. The food is edible, but not as tasty as expected. The burger my roommate ordered was missing a few ingredients and didn’t compare to the image they had online. The chips that came with the burger were fantastic. The fries I paid extra for with my lobster roll were soggy and cold, not the best. The lobster roll was pretty good, but I’ve had better. There is one place I love to order from on Door Dash that gives you the same fresh portion for a better price and they even include a side of melted butter to pour on top. I’ve been dying to try this place to compare but I’m a little disappointed. The clam chowder is runny and has more huge chunks of potatoes versus clams. I do love that they include oyster crackers though! The taco that my roommate paid $6 for was extremely disappointing. He said it was cold, tiny, and the flavor was not what he was expecting. Overall, probably won’t be returning customers unless we are walking around Boulder.

I can’t give this place enough stars! I originally came from the east coast and have eaten tons of lobster roll and other seafood in New England and Maritime Canada and this place is as close as you can get to it. The lobster is plentiful and fresh. It’s actually a lobster roll as opposed to a “lobster salad”. No additional ingredients except for lobster and butter and/or mayonnaise..as it’s supposed to be! They offer several options and styles including a “naked” lobster roll with nothing but lobster!

We also got the whole belly clams which are super hard to find outside New England and delicious and the New England clam chowder which tasted exactly as it should have!

Best of all was the service. The proprietor was friendly and attentive as were the servers. When we indicated that we wanted to share a cup of soup they gave us an extra cup! One of our orders came out wrong and they brought us an extra lobster slider roll! When we indicated that we were too full for dessert we were given a whoopie pie to go!

My daughter brought me here for my birthday but we never stated that. The service was amazing! They also have a full bar with New England craft beer and cider and our draft beer was served in frosted glasses.

The atmosphere is nice with lots of pictures of the Maine seashore and wood finish. They have an outside seating area and the windows open up to allow for an inside porch. The food isn’t inexpensive but considering they fly all their seafood in fresh and give you plenty of it l think it’s a great value. It’s ironic that the best lobster roll outside of New England is at 6000 feet in Colorado. If you are a seafood lover like me who misses it in Colorado or want something different from the usual food offerings then l recommend checking out the Maine Shack.

I was alerted to the Maine Shack on Instagram and decided to give it a shot. I spend a fair amount of time on the east coast and would saw this is the most east coast lobster shack feel outside of actual New England. We went with a CT roll, onion rings and the mini lobster rolls. The winner was the brown butter but all of them tasted absolutely authentic to back home. The service is friendly as well as fast, and the prices are in line with expectations. If you’re missing home this will give you a bump to nostalgia.

Awesome spot! Stopped by during happy hour for a quick lunch. 1 lobster taco and 1 steak taco for $17 after tip. Most affordable surf and turf you can get . Not huge portions but definitely fresh and tasty

I was craving a lobster roll and decided to order one from here for delivery. I was very surprised when it showed up – much smaller than expected. Especially with the photos shown on their website and in other reviews – it was a shocking difference. I was expecting a little more lobster than I got. I’ve had lobster rolls numerous times and this is the first time the serving was disappointing. Especially for the price, they start at $24 based on sizing – didn’t realize how much they skimp at the smallest size.

Was it good? It was okay. Would I order from here again? No.

10 out of 10, highly recommend! I was welcomed with genuine warmth Thanks to the exceptional hostess “Belle” (pictured bringing food to a large party). I have a shellfish allergy but still had a few excellent options Burger, Taco, or my choice the delicious North Shore 3 Way Roast Beef BBQ sandwich with fries. It was messy so I needed a fork at the end conveniently available along with napkins and sauces by the soda machine. Last summer I had the pleasure of visiting Maine and The Maine Shack brought back all the amazing memories. Thank You to Belle and the entire team!

Lived in New England off and on for much of my life. The lobster rolls we had today at Maine Shack Boulder were among the best. Perfectly cooked, juicy, tender and genuinely a taste of Maine. The prices are a bit hefty, but definitely worth it!!!

Some of the best food on Pearl by miles and miles. The Lobsterado, fried clams, and literally ICE COLD Narragansett lager take me to my happy place. Also the best roast beef sandwich I’ve had in my entire life. Treat yourself. You will not be disappointed.
