Main St Market in Smyrna is quickly becoming a local favorite of mine. On my first visit, I stopped in just before closing and was impressed with how friendly and attentive the service was, even at the end of the day. I tried the wings and a cod sandwich—both had good flavor, though they seemed previously frozen, and the cod was a little chewy. The wings would’ve been perfect if I had asked for them fried hard. Dessert that night was a slice of cake that was absolutely delicious.
Since then, I’ve gone back twice and left just as satisfied. For breakfast Friday morning, I had eggs over easy with home fries and bacon—everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Saturday’s lunch was a massive Italian sub (or “hoagie” as they call it in Delaware) that was so big I couldn’t finish it in one sitting.
Their baked desserts are amazing—my personal favorite is the yellow cake with chocolate icing. Service can be a bit slow at times, but the staff is friendly, the portions are generous, and the food keeps me coming back. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Smyrna.

The food is amazing and so delicious! And the subs are so packed ! We get more meat on 1 sub than we would on 3 subway subs !

First time . I thought the Italian sub would taste good but it was plain and I did not taste the vinegar . It took a long time to prepare the sub and was hard to see the menu outside. If you’re going to a have menu outside at least have a dark color to see the words. Overall the service was okay, I hoping for a high spirit welcoming and what to recommend to eat , but no just a friendly hello.

Went there for breakfast this morning. I asked for the gourmet chicken salad. “We don’t have it” I asked for the regular chicken salad. “We don’t have it” A younger girl took the order and said we’ll call you. I waited in my car for 30 minutes, watching people come and go. I thought maybe the number got mixed up. So I went to the window and rang the bell. An older woman came. She was not tracking my order so I repeated it. She said $10. I said I already paid. She went to the back. I think my order was never put in. Then the younger girl came, opened the door, and pushed my food at me. She was holding it by the plastic bag handles and she was not holding my platter flat. She PUSHED it at me and immediately closed/slammed the door. I was shocked. As was the other customer standing with me. He said “well they lost two customers today.” Yes they did.

This place has been here way too long for the people that work in there to be so rude to people who don’t look like them. Every time I place an order they cut me off on the phone as I talk, my food is never made to my liking; even after I request for something to be done the way I like it. I’ve been given dry toast with no butter on it, I’ve been given eggs and cheese was just placed on top, not melted, flaccid bacon even after requesting bacon to be well done. They’ve given home fries that have been dry as if they’ve been sitting out for a while. I was a paying customer. I’ll never give this business a dime of my hard earned money any more. I do not recommend this place. Stay far away from this place if you don’t look like the people that work there.

Main St Market catered a celebration of life for us. They made excellent recommendations for types of food and quantities. The food was excellent and so many guests commented on it. Potato salad, fruit and broccoli salad, sampler of sandwiches to include amazing chicken salad, ham and cheese on pretzel rolls , brownies, and carrot cake …..

Had my first experience at the Main Street Market this morning by ordering a takeout breakfast sandwich. It was excellent and a great deal for $8, I’ll most definitely be back!

The food is good but there was just horrible customer service. Our company has been using them for boxed lunches so I have never interacted before but called for the first time and felt very unwelcomed. I hope that is just a one time occurrence.

I come here often and try the lunch specials that are posted on Facebook. Good portions and delicious food. The baked goods are amazing, my favorite is the chocolate peanut butter cake. I recommend calling ahead and they will call when the order is ready.

lot of very good sauce. If you’re in Smyrna and you want to learn a little bit about Smyrna history and you are craving a saucy cheesesteak complete with a free dessert for first-time patrons then Main Street Market is a must stop for you. Almost forgot $11.74 included 24 oz drink.
