Traveling from out of state, I did a Google search for close proximity of our location. We were delighted to see that only 2 couples were waiting to be seated (Sunday AM). Hostess quickly cleared another table & served coffee.. within (Maddie) arrived to take our order. The menu was extensive & the place was packed – However, Our food arrived very quickly & it was SUPER DELICIOUS & EYE APPEALING!! Yummy Cinnamon toast ( round) came with my California plate.. I hadn’t seen that in years! The sourdough toast that was also ordered was EXCELLENT!. ALL STAFF VERY FRIENDLY & the place was clean & welcoming!

Very busy restaurant which is always a good sign. Food was very good. Very large menu selection.

We have lived in the area for almost two years, but somehow overlooked this place until tonight, despite driving by it on most days during my commute. Was not in the mood to cook tonight but wanted to try something new. Found this restaurant using google search. Our server was Veronika. She was very friendly and attentive! No complaints on any of the food we had. The onion rings are awesome. We’re looking forward to coming back in the future to try the breakfast menu.
I was also impressed to see the restaurant was very clean. Although it was a slow night – I could see the staff keeping busy and cleaning up. Eating at a clean restaurant definitely makes me feel good about coming back!

Stopped in based on reviews. Entry shared with motel smelled like smoke and commercial cleaners. Warm greeting and service. Fish fry was the goal. It was a bit rubbery and tasted a bit like bleach. Fries were great and soup was good. Corn was less than average. Server didn’t check back in with us, no refills, had to get our own to go box. Bathrooms were run down and smelled bad. Server left us standing at register before receipt printed. Not terrible but not a 4.6 rating.

We had a wonderful breakfast and the best service!! The omelet was so light and fluffy, crispy hash browns and delicious pancakes. The coffee refills came quickly and often. The food came quickly so we were able to get on the road. Highly recommend!!

We were on our way to Myre Big Island state park and I read the reviews and looked at their menu. We made a short diversion and it was definitely worth it.
Our server and manager were from Macedonia and they were they were super-nice. The manager just got married and we wished her the best and hoped she could take her honeymoon sometime soon. It sure is nice when the servers are genuinely concerned about our enjoyment of the dining experience.
This place has a great decor/design and it is very comfortable and appealing. The food and portions were excellent. See my photo of the hot roast beef sandwich. Yummy!!! The strawberry waffles were good too.
If we are in Albert Lea again, we will definitely stop here as the menu had so many good things that we need to test more of them when we come back.

Your Standard Diner in Minnesota. We stopped here just because it was lunch time, and it was a good stop. Good food good service interesting atmosphere. It’s quick easy stop off the highway, a solid outing.

Based on other reviews we gave it a try. The $15 patty melt was horrible. The chicken soup tasted off so we sent that back. The eggs and hash browns were good though. The bathrooms are located in the hotel and very off putting as well. Pretty expensive food for what you get.

Service was good, very few people here. The place was cold, even the waitress was wearing a puffy vest. The food was ok, not hot – tasted like day old and reheated in the microwave. The bathroom was filthy, making you wonder if the kitchen is the same level of cleanliness.
